A virtual prize. :).

Hmmm, well she said a Cornish name for the middle name. That has to be 'Loveday'.

For the first name I guess Eleanor, Jane, Sarah or Susannah.

This morning Evelyn popped into my head, but on reflection Ivy seems a possibility as a nod to Ivan.

Caroline Tamar

Tamsin is the only Cornish name I knew until I read this thread.
Just because they haven't announced the name it doesn't mean they haven't got one. A local Vicar refused to reveal his baby's name until the Christening.

yellowflowers · 25/08/2010 09:52

oh please not the one we have chosen - I think we'd have to think again if so...

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 25/08/2010 09:56

"Within hours of the birth of the couple's fourth child, William Hill was offering odds of 2/1 on Marnie, 3/1 on Enid and 3/1 on Agnes. Margaret, a possible tribute to Lady Thatcher, is at 50/1.

According to Ladbrokes, Isabella, Olivia and Emma are among the most likely options.
They are also taking bets on showbiz choices, including Cheryl (33/1), Angelina (40/1) and Beyonce (150/1)."

(Sky news)

gagamama · 25/08/2010 09:57

Why so, yellowflowers? I don't think there's particularly disproportionate glut of 10-year-old Leos (and even if I met one, I wouldn't be thinking 'hmm, after the Blairs I see!) so I doubt that the new little Cameron will affect things too much. If you love the name, use it.

ab6990 · 25/08/2010 09:59

Rosalie
Mabel
Maude

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 25/08/2010 10:05

I think Mabel is quite a good guess.

gagamama · 25/08/2010 10:05

Samantha's mother is called Annabel and David's is Mary, if that makes any difference!

PollyLogos · 25/08/2010 10:08

Don't know if anyone has suggested Evangelina but that's my guess!

GabbyLoggon · 25/08/2010 10:19

Felicity or Davina

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat · 25/08/2010 10:22

something 'Quirky' - maybe Thea? Poss Mabel as others have said. Along those lines. I'd have said Martha if it didnt rhyme with Arthur!

At least it can't be any worse than Nancy.

Bella32 · 25/08/2010 10:54

Edith Lowenna Cameron

(Lowenna is Cornish for joyful)

Wrap up the pressie now - ta x

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 25/08/2010 11:18

Haven't they decided yet? How long can it take?!

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 25/08/2010 11:27

Thwy don't appear to have decided until after the birth the other times, either. And they weren't expecting to have the baby this early so were probably still arguing discussing the options.

There are 6 weeks allowed in which to register the baby, after all. And you can register just as "female" and add a name any time up to (IIRC) 12 months, so hypothetically there could be a good wee wait yet...

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 25/08/2010 11:33

I didn't know they took as long with the others (funnily enough, they aren't a family I'm particularly interested in usually) - but I'm really impatient and I've usually picked the name I like prior to conception!! (well, not quite, but you know what I mean). I knew you had 6 weeks to register - let's hope they make a decision before that, or I really might explode.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 25/08/2010 11:37

I'm reasonably sure that it was at least a day or two with Arthur. And he wasn't famous when the other two were born but vaguely remember some comment then (i.e. when Arthur was born) about how they didn't normally decide on a name until after the birth. I might be hallucinating that after too much cheese, admittedly, but Arthur did take a while.

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 25/08/2010 11:40

I shall take your word for it! And stop being so fidgety - just trying to work out whether I should pack my bags and leave the country if they pick the name of my other DD - not that that's likely, however I already have a Nancy!

Conundrumish · 25/08/2010 11:54

Poor woman, imagine having to choose a name quickly because if you don't it reflects badly on your family's decision making capabilities, in a job like PM.

SmellsLikeTeenSweat · 25/08/2010 12:18

Cornish connection - how about Flora or Tamar?

Or Morgana, or Fay? Hmm...

littlemisslozza · 25/08/2010 12:19

Oh yes, of course it can't be Martha because of Arthur! Blush
I think it will be a similar name to that though.

argeybargey · 25/08/2010 12:28

There'll be a Carenza in there, I think.
