If you want it said that way, I would spell it Tiana. Tianna should say "Tee-Ann-a".

I don't really know what to think of it as a name, it looks like the end chopped off a longer name like Christiana. It was in the Princess & Frog Disney film, wasn't it?

SoLongAsItsHealthy · 30/07/2010 14:22

A bit Jordan I'm afraid. And a tad "here's my little princess".

Bacofoil · 30/07/2010 14:26

yyy

Jordantastic.

call her Emma

2plus2more · 30/07/2010 14:26

I had a friend (American) called Tiana when I was younger. It was pronounced Tee-on-a or Tee-an-a depending on who you spoke to - she answered to either. Not a name I'm particularly keen on to be honest - a bit too American for me. (unless you are American that is in which case it's fine!) Where on earth is the "r" coming from in your pronounciation?????

BunnyLebowski · 30/07/2010 14:27

Naff and orrible.

rachxx · 30/07/2010 14:28

I prefer it as Tiana, but yes I think it was in a Disney film. I want a pretty name, but I don't want images of JORDAN flashing up in peoples heads. Is it that bad???

The 'are' is the way in which the few people I have met with the name pronounce it.. I hadnt realised that was wrong, seeing as they pronounced it like that.

Bacofoil · 30/07/2010 14:31

Actually it reminds me of the start of The Reflex.

Ibizadreams · 30/07/2010 14:33

First thing I thought of was Jordan, sorry.

rachxx · 30/07/2010 14:34

Well what are your suggestions for a pretty girls names then?

mamaloco · 30/07/2010 14:35

Tania is russian means fairy, what about Tatiana (little fairy)?
It is not bad. People are not used to it.

TheDoodler · 30/07/2010 14:36

Theresa
Francesca
Amelia
um....

LilMagill · 30/07/2010 14:36

Why Jordan? Oh... Princess Tiiaami (yes, I believe that is how she spells it...)? I wouldn't have made the link.

2plus2more it depends whether you pronounce all your 'r's doesn't it? Most people in England say "are" like "ah",so that's why she spelt the pronunciation out like that?

LilMagill · 30/07/2010 14:37

My mistake... it's Tiáamii, with an accent. Naturally

Firawla · 30/07/2010 14:39

it's alright, but how about tia? i think that is nicer

rachxx · 30/07/2010 14:39

I suggested Tatiana before, and everyone acted like I wanted to call my little girl after a russian prostitute or something.

Its ridiculous, Everyone likes ISABELLA on this site, yet when I lived in Italy, Isabella, or Bella was fat common womens name, and not in any shape or form nice, yet everyone on here thinks its lovely.

TheDoodler · 30/07/2010 14:43

Actually though...if you like Tianna you should go ahead and call her that.

rachxx · 30/07/2010 14:45

Francesca-Fran is horrible.

Violet-my sister has this name

Iris-OH hates

Alexandra-Too boyish in my opinion

I have gone through about 10000 names and I can't find one. She is going to have no name at this rate.
