Hello, the old thread fizzled out after christmas, so here is a brand spanking new one.

You don't have to be at all particularly talented just enthusiastic

I'm afraid I can't help snicker, as I still haven't picked up the hook.

I'm thinking of taking the crochet books with me on holiday in a week and learning while I'm away. There's a fab wool shop there if I get stuck.

I've been making good progress with the jumper for DS. It takes much longer to knit things for them as they get older!

Hello.

Sorry have been awol, naughty baby trying to make an early entrance to the world and having to rest

However, i decided i can rest and sew

I need to:

Make my roman blinds!!!!!!!! This is this week's project. Make a mock up.

Make a bib and fabric edged muslin for my friend who is having a baby shower on 27th June. Very easy, very quick project, just need to find some girly but cool fabric for it.

snickersnack - 28 is not 33 minus 4, 29 is!

Foundation chain of 33, missing 3 and doing trebles into remaining 30 definitely gives you a row of 31 trebles, including the chain at the beginning.

But, I feel your pain. I have been knitting for years and understand knitting patterns inside out. But, I have only recently started crocheting again, having never mastered more than granny squares and rectangles of double crochet when I was younger. Crochet patterns seem to be in a different league. I seem to "lose" stitches at edges at an amazing rate, and am having to rip out large chunks after discovering I have mis-read the instructions!

lol at snickers maths. purple is right, you have done it properly, 30 stitches plus turning chain.

Alice, hope all is ok?

I have lost my mojo big time, doing flowers and bracelets/hairbands in crochet atm. Halfheartedly making a tunic for DD1, but just can't decide on list of projects. I found out that the fair I wanted to do at school is on the day before the Goodwood festival of speed, which my mum has bought tickets for DH and I, big deal for us, she is babysitting and it will be the first time we have a whole day to ourselves! But I can't do the fair so cba doing anything!

OMG omdb! that bunting is a\wesome!

wastingaway · 05/06/2010 20:25

Jack, is there no way you can do the fair? Is it that you'll be travelling?
Have you looked into setting up etsy?

JackBauer · 06/06/2010 12:34

No, it is on a friday evening and we are going out for the day on saturday moening at 7, 200 miles away. And DD's are staying at my mums, so if I did it we wouldn't get to my mums until 10-11pm and then leave at 6am the next morning. ouch.

Am going to make a few more headbands/hairbands/clips etc and then go onto etsy I think, still no mojo though as no deadline!

Hi ladies, haven't been around for a while. Had to cover at work, then pack to go away on our hols. Now I am on holiday I have more time but not enough crafty stash with me to keep me interested.

I did do a little bit of photography yesterday-does that count as crafting?

Links are a go slow with my rubbishy holiday internet connection but here is a "link"
