ooooh, button porn, hubba hubba

hey, that dior isn't much of a conversationalist, every time she posts, she just says 'message withdrawn'

(poor d, i did read about why on another thread)

OP posts:
ranting · 20/01/2009 12:05

Eh? What's happened to Dior, is she alright?

lucykate · 20/01/2009 12:10

from what i can remember, it was all to do with the moldie thing getting in the papers. she was either quoted or misquoted, not exactly certain. anyway, as her chat name was mentioned in the article, she had concerns about people searching for it, and being recognized in real life, so had to ask for all her posts to be withdrawn

vInTaGeVioLeT · 20/01/2009 18:32

eh? i must of missed something here then?!

ranting no problemo

Whizzz · 20/01/2009 19:45

VV LOL at your button porn (it was me you added as a friend on FB by the way in case you dodn't realise) - MN, crafty forums & RL all seem to be crashing together - very confusing!!

I've seen some nice jewellery bits made form buttons - dare'nt even look into that at the mo. Got a Bead mage here - UNOPENED! What is the world coming to??! Might take a peek tonight though

Hadn't heard about Dior - I seem to lose track about whats going on here these days - missed the entire Moldie thing!

Whizzz · 20/01/2009 19:47

Ooooo and I want to do the Finger knitted scarf that I saw the tut for on Folksy - looks ace!

gigglinggoblin · 20/01/2009 20:01

I missed the whole moldie thing, decided to stay away and obviously I was right to do so! (have just read about it on custardos blog). It explains a lot about why its so different here now

Dior · 20/01/2009 20:15

I'm still here.

Tsk 'not much of a conversationalist'

vInTaGeVioLeT · 20/01/2009 21:31

ok i've no idea what the "moldie" thing was?
I tend to stick to this thread and my childminding staffroom thread here on MN as i can't be bothered with the pointless bickering!

whizzz - i knew it was you! but it can get confusing - i do twitter, crafter...oo, facebook, and more!! i spend way too much time online

ranting · 22/01/2009 10:29

Well I'm pleased you're still here Dior. I did see all that Moldie stuff but must have missed some of it.

VV have emailed you.

I took delivery of a couple of Babushka bunnies today, dd saw them in Sewhip and fancies having a go, so I know what we'll be doing Saturday. She is currently going through a bit of phase with russian dolls, too, since seeing that mag.

Where's GM when you need her, she liked Russian dolls too, didn't she?

vInTaGeVioLeT · 22/01/2009 13:12

got your eMail ranting - just sorting you out some pretties!
i'm a russian doll addict myself {i sell them too!} you daughter is a girl of very good tastes! What are baboushka bunnies i've not bought sew hip ..... yet!

meridian · 22/01/2009 15:19

sorry I havne't been on this thread much.. its been a busy and not busy time.. which sounds rather lame.. but there you go.. I have blogged a few bits here and there and will try to pop by here more often... though whenever I do it seems I'm just talking to myself.. which isn't alltogether that odd really..

vInTaGeVioLeT · 22/01/2009 22:22

have just blogged about last weekend and more brooches!

ranting · 23/01/2009 11:34

VV, thanks am about to reply to your email, this is a babushka bunny, they did a feature on this seller in sew hip and dd was looking over my shoulder while I was reading it. Needless to say she was quite taken with it.

Got any pics of your russian doll makes VV. I love them too but, dd has become quite obsessed with them of late.

vInTaGeVioLeT · 23/01/2009 11:36

aww cute bunnies - kinda clothkit like?

ranting · 23/01/2009 11:41

Yes, think they are partly inspired by clothkits, rather cute, they also had a feature on a woman who does printed russian doll panels, so of course, I have to buy them too.

ranting · 23/01/2009 11:43

Did you say you actually sell russian dolls VV? Hmmmmmm

vInTaGeVioLeT · 23/01/2009 14:38

yep - i sell them - not sure if i have any listed right now? i need to get some photo's sorted - i sell the proper vintage ones mainly - the ones with USSR printed on them like these

vInTaGeVioLeT · 23/01/2009 14:39

vInTaGeVioLeT · 24/01/2009 13:32

Whizzz · 24/01/2009 14:18

Rather embarassingly....I have blogged my feeble efforts of late!
here but don't laugh

ranting · 24/01/2009 15:17

VV, I may have to buy some russian dolls off you at some point.

Have left you a comment whizzz.

meridian · 24/01/2009 19:41

vv-- oh good I'm glad it got to you safe and sound.. I hope you still like it.. looking forward to your e-mail.. all I seem to get in my inbox is junk mail this week..

have just blogged the display I did for the studio

I have a big to do list for the next couple of days.. a new home card to make for a friend who moved, and something to go along with it.. er probably another warm bag as I like making them so much. and really need to update my etsy shop.. but really really not motivated for that at the moment.

Whizzz · 25/01/2009 19:44
