blue one made for a friends birthday.

toadstool one my favorite, but it dosen't really have a home.. I jsut love the teeny scrap of toadstool fabric..

vInTaGeVioLeT · 13/01/2009 13:40

Meri - i think the toadstool one wants to live with me - he he HE

meridian · 13/01/2009 16:14

vintage-- I'd be happy to do a swap with you for it.

vInTaGeVioLeT · 13/01/2009 19:01

ooohh really? what would you like?

been making lots of felt brooches lately - you may've noticed that LOL

meridian · 14/01/2009 09:33

vintage- I'll try and e-mail you later after I have organized this owl swap... drawn partners and so on... and yes I have noticed your lovely felting brooches

vInTaGeVioLeT · 16/01/2009 00:35

ooohh exciting! i await your eMail!

gigglinggoblin · 18/01/2009 11:18

I love those felted brooches, have been meaning to get round to something like that for ages but am stuck finishing off stuff i started for xmas (very disorganised!) so i feel i need to get that finished 1st!

Why is it so quiet on here, has something major kicked off? It used to move so fast it was difficult keeping up with everyone

lucykate · 18/01/2009 11:34

gg - nothings kicked off here in a&c, but i think it's more down to all the other goings on mn in general, all the spate of trolling before christmas etc, those who used to post here a lot are giving mn a wide berth, or have jumped ship to crafteroo, which is a pure crafty forum. with me it's just a general cutting down on internet time altogether thing.

very sad today, tony hart has died

i used to love take hart as a child.

gg- as LK said.. becuase of all the trolling and unpleasantness everyone has been giving mn a wide berth...I still pop on every now and again and so do a few others and it may pick up again sometime.. anyone is welcome.... I have been busy on crafteroo.co.uk and generally busy and/or sad and depresive times.. so not really the life of the party me.. but I try..

Whizzz · 18/01/2009 19:47

I don't post as much as I did - and I don't craft as much at the mo due to a course I'm doing (booo)
But I still check in from time to time

Whizzz · 18/01/2009 19:49

Meri I think I missed your owl swap - didn't realise it was on your blog - thought it was just the 'other forum' thing - not an international one. Never mind my sewing is pants anyway - tee hee!

meridian · 18/01/2009 20:01

whizzz-- I was wondering about that.. sorry thigns have been total pants around here lately... you could still do it as a challenge though.. maybe one of those scrabble tile pendants or something.. and I'm waiting to hear back from someone who hasn't emailed her partner yet so I may end up having to do two partners and I could slide one your way if you wanted too... sorry I missed out on you though... my head isn't on right lately..

ranting · 18/01/2009 20:07

Hello all, glad to see LK that I wasn't the only one to feel a bit about Tony Hart, I loved Take Hart as a child.

Been doing a bit of dressmaking but no time for blogging for ages, lot of upheaval at work, my job is being done away with, (they won't make me redundant though, apparently they have plans for me). Which is a good thing, at least but now I have to sit tight and wait and see.

Have also started an OU course so that is going to take up LOTS of time.

So how is everybody?

Whizzz · 18/01/2009 20:09

No worries. If anyone drops out I can join in if it helps. But it really doesn't matter - I only really said yes because I thought it was a little swappy thing.

It's a shame, so many people seem to be having a tough time of things for one reason or another at the mo. Hope things pick up for everyone soon.

Whizzz · 18/01/2009 20:10

Hi Ranting - what OU course are you doing?
My Dsylexia teaching course should be all done by Easter, so I'm counting the days!

ranting · 18/01/2009 20:14

It's Art history Whizzz, am really excited about it and got stuck into the prep weeks ago but can't access my study stuff on the web until tomorrow.

What level course are you doing Whizzz?

And is your Etsy site still going? I'm feeling the need for new necklaces if you and Dior are up for the challenge

Whizzz · 18/01/2009 20:37

That sounds interesting. I have a Folksy site which although I haven't updated for yonks - I still keep managing to sell bits & bobs (even though my photos are rubbish). Actually I need to update it & put a few more things on.

ranting · 18/01/2009 20:40

Well maybe when you're not so busy, let me know and I'll put in my order (cheeky...me?).

I remember when you started your course, am guessing it must be a while now.

Whizzz · 18/01/2009 22:05

No probs - if you have an idea of the sort of thing you are after let me know - I'm sure I can fit you in

Yes, started it all last May - seems like forever!

vInTaGeVioLeT · 19/01/2009 13:46

hi Ranting

ranting · 20/01/2009 09:28

Hello VV, how are you?

I need to talk to you too, I need a large button to put on my knitted cardi, got anything nice that will fit the bill?

vInTaGeVioLeT · 20/01/2009 11:14

i'm sure i can find one!
what colour/size/material?
i've got some gorgeous carved large mother-of-pearl ones - super luxury!

ranting · 20/01/2009 11:26

Well the wool is like a bluey lilac but, I need something contrasting, I think rather than matching, size, ummm have to look at the pattern and get back to you on that. It says, I quote 'Buttons: one, large.

Thats not very helpful is it? What's the largest you've got in the MOP?

vInTaGeVioLeT · 20/01/2009 11:52

i'll have a look for you . . . .
take a look on this post button porn there are some beauties on there - the last photo shows a lovely carved dark m-o-p button approx 1.5" or i have large again approx. 1.5" plainer m-o-p buttons four hole with a wide lip. HTH

ranting · 20/01/2009 12:00

Is it wrong to love all of those?

Am going to have to get my backside ready for work now but I have your email addy from the last time I bought from you, so will email you tomorrow, if that's ok VV?
