have had a text from meri - they are in the new house, no internet yet, so she's offline for a bit though.

Send her my love if you speak to her again.

I'm relieved she's finally moved and in. Send her our best.

Hope Meri gets sorted quickly - moving is a tad stressful !

I've blogged some mess and also a new commission piece.

It's for a very, very old lady who's having a birthday at the start of September. I hope it'll cheer her residential home bedroom up - bless her, she's well into her nineties and only has one visitor who bothers about her.

what's everyone up to for the bank holiday? and even more important, is it going to rain?

Bank Holiday = lots of rain usually . Not checked the forecast, but I'm not hopeful.
I think I may try and bribe DH into taking the kids off somewhere so I can finish the fairy tale swap. And I may also try to get some rest in readyment for my upcoming work pressure!!

To be honest I'm not sure - want to go camping but don't want to go if its going to be chocka-block (I thought bank hol was next weekend - der!) - would rather chill in the garden & drink wine in our gazebo!

Well the holidays have been a total wash out down here. What with DS breaking his toe and then the following week knocking himself out....and the rain, we have hardly even been out in the garden, let alone out.

We had one good day out at Colchester zoo at the beginning of the hols but my hopes are pinned on next week as DH is off of work and it's the run up to DS's 9th(!) birthday!

I am hoping the weather will be kind, I don't want scorching hot sunshine but DRY would be nice for even a few days!

Must stop waffling and get on!!!

Yes Dior, we have been a few times before but I think I was pregnant with DD last time we where there.

It didn't take us that long to get up there but it was a nightmare trying to get make over the bridge on the way home!

Loved the zoo, well worth the journey!

we're going to go to colchester zoo on saturday if it's raining and we can't go to the beach. fil says the air show is on clacton beach on friday, so we might make it there after doing the trains/thomas thingy.

We're doing 'not a lot' this weekend, although I have booked to take dd to the Supremes exhibition at the V&A, she wants to see the sparkly dresses.

Ranting - they have a Supremes exhibition at the V&A ?? Ooooo what fancy stuff they have in that London place (can you tell I'm a northern lass!)
I bet its full of big blokes who moonlight as female impersonators, looking for inspiration

We watched the Air Show from Canvey Island once (I wasn't keen on it there )
