And here's yet another thread. Blimey we can chat!!!! I've been in London the past couple of days, looking forward to catching up on everything....

how is everyones sickly children? I got no crafts done today, though I did take DS swimming and got him to do 10 jumps and 3 dunks under the water. and at dinner time we sat and watched "Explorers" and I coulden't have been prouder unless of course DS was watching Goonies or Raiders of the lost Ark.

Whizzz- very of your weekend outings... um we fed some ducks at Caudwell's mill... baby ducks mind, and the littlest one had one eye smaller than the other, bless its little webbed feet.

going to pop a DVD in and veg out.. watched "Planet Terror" last night, DH was well impressed, though he said he liked the main character better before her leg was a gun.

and later this week I'm dragging DH to see the new Indiana Jones film... I'm dying to see it.

hi, just a quick pop by, busy day today, we are having a p a r t y!! this afternoon, ds is 3 tomorrow and to celebrate dh's news. dh is in london all day tomorrow, which is why we're celebrating ds's birthday today. now, food, do we risk the bbq or just go for pizza?!

lucykate - the weather here is horrendous i've just retrieved the recycling box from the bottom of the garden and put all the rubbish [yuck] back in the bin as it had blown over and emptied it's self - so i'd go for pizza!!!

Nbg, you've had your washing out?!! You lucky thing, we've had constant torrential rain, along with the winds for the past 2 days.

We actually decided that after spending yesterday at home, we'd have to go out today, starting to get cabin fever. So we tooled up (brollies (not sure why we bothered, with the wind), macs, the works) and ambled into town for a coffee and a cake (dd loves people watching from the window of the cafe). We wondered into Age Concern on the way back and found a box of 10, 100 piece jigsaws (which has kept dd amused for the rest of the day) and I found a fabulous early 70s book, charmingly entitled The Golden Hands book of crochet. Have spent a few hours poring over its contents and will probably end up decking out my poor old home in retro style table runners and motif bedspreads.

I'm not sure I can be cured of my retro pattern addiction!! My big red book of old patterns is starting to burst at the seams!!

LK - how was the party? Did you opt for pizza? It's been lovely here today, but WINDY. I am being crap at the minute coming on here, my wireless is still being a pain in the bum, but (fingers crossed) it should be sorted now (she hopes and prays). I am busy making a paper pieced flower thingy for a mini quilt swap on flickr, done my toadstool, so that'll be posted out tomorrow, and I am making a quilt for DS, but that'll take a million years, because it's paper pieced and hand sewn too. I have set myself the target of his b.day, in October to have it done.

Hello all, just dipping in really quickly to say that I have changed my header (though only subtly, and not as much as I want to ), and also here is my latest creation

Have been talking to a lady who is opening a bridal shop at the beginning of June; she has asked me to make bridesmaids bags and ring cushions for her! Very excited, the beginning of a new venture!!

Have had a quick look at dolls, they are fab! Will add mine to the Flickr pool but don't post it up on your blog yet NBG as I don't think it has arrived at its destination.

Apart from Meri's candy craft (not finished) I haven't been up to much. Been spring cleaning the house, given the terrible weather. Job worth doing I suppose - it does look lovely (yawn ). Just picked up the scarf I'm knitting and all the yarn is all knotted . The only thing I can do is chop it off and start a new line of yarn. bugger bugger bugger. At least the candy challenge is going well (so far).
