well, i'm not going to be contacting my local ts office, at least not at this stage anyway, tbh my plan is to adjust what i make accordingly, and bypass the younger end of the market completely. without giving too much away at this stage, i have plans for the future, which involves taking my work in a slightly different direction altogether.

Nbg · 23/02/2008 11:07

don't go all mysterious on us lk
sounds exciting though.

dingle they are lovely thank you so much.

I've spent all day doing carft fair bits & my fingers are tired! I've not really made much new stuff - just tidyed up a few things, re-made some older things, put things in bags, made labels etc. But it seems to have taken forever.

We did have a slight drama today, when our cat (who I had to ban from the conservatory due to beading) decided to climb on the roof of the said conservatory and walk along its ridge. She promtly slipped & slid off, landing in next doors garden on a pile of bikes & assorted bits of wood. She came in very sorry for herself & looking quite out of it, so we decided to take her to the vets as a precaution. They think she's just badly bruised but we have to keep her in for a while to keep an eye on her. She's perked up slightly now & I have tempted her to eat with some posh cat food!

hello
Posted in the craft section earlier about craftjuice - I've not been on mn for ages!

Can't believe how big the crafts section is on here and it's nice to see so many other bloggers.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and hope to chat soon,
Sam/incywincy. x

Anyone know of a way to change my user name??

lucykate · 23/02/2008 18:46

oh no whizzz, poor bella, hope she's ok

sam , didn't know you were a mnetter too!!! how cool!, have you seen the mn a&c group blog??

a&c is growing big here, we're aiming to take over the place

blueamema · 23/02/2008 19:21

Yes, just seen the blog. What a great idea : )
I've just linked up to the CF- 'crafty thoughts blog' (linked on my blog)
But it doesn't get as many blog entries as yours.
Well done everyone

I used to post on here a lot, but got pulled away by the wah section on another mum forum!

Plus I had an M/C and posted lots on here at the time and I think that has kept me away as I didn't want to remember. I actually had my thread saved and read it again today - not very nice

Anyway ... glad to be here again and happy to have found so many other crafty/bloggin Mums.
xx

lucykate · 23/02/2008 19:37

glad you've decided to return

meridian · 23/02/2008 20:57

blue- hello.. welcome to our mumsnet crafting Haven... a place of peace away from the arguments on the rest of the threads. Everyone is really lovely and nice on here. They welcomed me into the fold quite happily.

i have made two bracelets with some yellow opal beads that arrived in the post this morning.

here but the pictures are rubbish.

Had a lovely day out today at byrkley park garden centre which happend to have a brand new little crafts centre in it, and a lovely jewellery shop too ... I was good though and only bought some earring findings to continue figuring out how to make them.

Hi Sam/ Incy Wincy/ Blueamema - Blimey don't we all get about eh ?

Us crafters are taking over the world !

LK - Hmm, can't wait for you to tell us what you are up to.

Whizz - Hope Bella is OK ? Cats are generally all elasticy and baggy when they fall and tend not to hurt themselves too badly unless there are any sharp protrusions. Probably just horribly bruised and sore. Keep an eye on her appetite though and her third eyelid.

Dingle - Poor thing, I'm just getting over my flu, it was horrid. Don't overdo it and take things easy.

Lovely work everyone !!

Whizzz · 23/02/2008 22:07

Dior bracelt looks fine - I can see you've used 3 separate rings to attach the clasp but I actually think it looks really tidy. I've done that type where I have joined the strands together with one ring & to be honest I don't think it looks as neat as yours. If you are doing more than one strand, maybe you could look to using the cone things - they always look neat

Dior- I think you have done a lovely job on the bracelet... and i think its just a hobbie to all of us, and each does something diffrent too.. I know I'm a little bit obsessed with semi-precious stones, but i always have been, you should see all the silver and assorted stone pendants I have. keep up the good work, I would never have the pacience to mess with seed beeds and make anything that looks half as pretty as what you and whizzz can do.

lucykate · 24/02/2008 08:54

blueameme, hope you have a happy crafting day today, it's a shame we didn't know about this sooner, a small group of us had a crafty/blog/mn meet up at ikea in nottingham a couple of weeks ago. we'll just have to have another one soon now, won't we?!!

Gingermonkey · 24/02/2008 08:55

Dior - the bracelet looks great!

Hello Blueamama!

jeangenie · 24/02/2008 09:20

hi everyone, welcome blueamema

nothing much to report - second artclub went well, have three kids signed up for regular saturday morning sessions, wouldn't mind finding two more as 6 would be perfect (incl DD1 who is a regular fixture in the club now and evry excited about doing it officially every week)

finished my mobile for Elsie Marley's swap, finally

bought some new wool to make a cardi for myself - haven't knit anything that big in about 20 years so should be amusing

started easter challenge

DD2 looks like is coming down with chickiepops as they call them in our house - how can I tell though?

Dingle · 24/02/2008 09:20

oooo...I have started my blue challenge today-totally self indulgent I am afraid.(My definition of self indulgent is not having a purpose or not having to give it to some one else!)

Nbg · 24/02/2008 09:40

Hi blueamema Very jealous of your craft day.
I've told my dh thats what i want to do on mothers day.
Uninteruppted craft time

Dior the jewellery is lovely. I'm amazed at your level of patience to make something like that.

Meri, I love the yellow opal.

Dingle hope your feeling a bit better.

Whizzz, hope your cat is ok. Poor little thing.

I had a bit of a tantrum with the sewing machine. For some reason its not stitching properly, so i've had to unpick a new doll i've made grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
So I gave up last night and made some jewellery instead.
I'm going to upload pics a bit later.
