Miaou · 24/03/2008 14:22

Have now blogged a wee pic of my felting project - a sneak preview! Not putting the whole thing up yet until it is finished though

meridian · 24/03/2008 15:51

everyone has been so busy but me.. I have got zilch crafting done since friday and when ever i'm on the computer i get glared at and DH playing the martyered husband... I did make cupcakes yesterday and blogged some corn bread muffins with honey butter that i made to go with tomato soup for lunch... and vaccumed the downstairs... but apparently not enough for DH... have ditched him and DS at the park and run home to be on the computer... too nesh... its freeezing out..

will try to catch up on everyones blogs and crafts.

lucykate · 24/03/2008 16:15

i'm not crafting, house is a mess due to DIY, dh has been channeling out for wiring in the kitchen and landing, stripped out the downstairs loo, my stepdad is about to start plastering. dc's waiting for tea but can't get in the kitchen yet to cook, house is a mess, dust and chunks of brick everywhere! what fun!

Gingermonkey · 24/03/2008 16:27

Nbg - yes to addy, no to postage. Email me katyejones at hotmail dot com and I'll post them tomorrow. at your crazy fire fear...but that's what I'd be like too (worry wort that I am).

Meri - NESH, I haven't heard that word for years. My ex boyfriend used to call me it all the time. He was a midlander, I think it's a midlands word, coz I've never heard anyone else use it.

I've done bugger all too. Thanks to DH and his tidy mission. Now I'm in trouble because my idea of tidying is to chuck everything in a bin bag, without checking what it is first...and have thrown away some pens for writing on CDRs. Ha ha.

VV - my post here is rubbish, so don't panic yet. I'll be getting it in the morning, for definite . It did have to come from far far away down there in Devon, didn't it?

Right, off to check blogs now....

dingle!! sorry only just checked here, your swap is late posting, i will post a sneak peak up for you. thursday was a flop so i went to the PO on sat so that you could get your swap tomoz but it was closed, i thought it would be open but may have been classed as a bank holiday.
I'm not too sure that the choc will last but it's all packed up in the box.... if it's not nice looking when you get it please et me know and I can make and send a fresh batch xxx

Dingle · 24/03/2008 16:52

Thanks for letting me know Champs...did mine arrive safely?

meridian · 24/03/2008 18:09

gm- I can't really deny it because I am very nesh.. you would think with all this fat a lug around that i would be lovely and warm all the time but no... probably something to do with living in California all those years.

I have got a small amount of crafting done, two bracelets, one dolomite (a blue stone) and silver and the other a peridot, cherry adventurine and silver (green pink and silver then) no pictures as its too late ... but we have been tidying out the attic and have dragged down one of the picture boxes so will go have a stroll down memory lane in a bit.. DH's birthday on wed. and next week is our 7th anniversery... and then we will be flying out to cali... eek

Gingermonkey · 24/03/2008 18:24

Meri - . What is it with DH's and bank holiday clearing out sessions?

How is your wiring, LK? Any accidents? If my DH went near anything with a screw driver it'd blow up - he is the most useless man in the world at DIY, but thankfully knows it!

Oh, didn't take you long to master crochet Whizz, they're very nice.
Miaou, feeling very unsatisfied by your teaser , I want to see the whole thing .
Have finished off a couple of crochet clutch bags (they started off as stitch experiments and have ended up as clutches (well they will do once I get the sewing machine out to do the lining), dd wants a pyjama case so am knitting a pyjama case from stash wool. Been busy visting relatives so no time to clear out my hovel . So quite envious of you lot (yes, you GM) with clutter free houses.

Whizzz · 24/03/2008 21:50

Hmm can't say I have mastered it just yet! A chain is pretty easy to do but I think I should have made it looser which may be easier with different thread. Contemplating doing crochet with wire too....

Champs · 24/03/2008 23:35

dingle i didnt open mine as i havent sent of to you yet, it felt wrong to have mine when you're waiting. dh will post it off tomo,
here's a sneak peak for you xxx

chrissnow · 25/03/2008 07:57

Well I didn't manage to get any jewellery making done!! The only beads I threaded were on little pots of chocolates for the PILs for Easter!! I have managed to finish a door plaque for the girls that I've been wanting to do for aaaaaaaaaaaaggges . Pics on profile. Also added the disasterous easter bonnet to give you all a laugh!! Pics aren't superb quality as they're from my phone as the camera has died (again - we need to buy a new battery I think). Some lovely stuff on here ladies. Really loving some of the knitted things. Some of the jewellery is gorgeous as well - One called 'Niamh'? FAB!!

Gingermonkey · 25/03/2008 11:23

VV - IT'S ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!! ooooohhhhh, fab things, thank you thank you thank you. The problem is - I don't like opening the envelopes because they look so nice (but I have. DS ripped one open and I almost shed a tear, I was quite upset by it!). Everything is gorgeous and the freebies are fab fab fab!!!

i'm sitting here making my vintage swap and catching up with mumsnet having had a little thrifting session after dropping kids @ pre-school.

dizzyday07 · 25/03/2008 15:07

VV - you making something for me?? I'm excited now

Note to self - get on with your vintage swap

Dingle · 25/03/2008 16:11

I have made a few cards in a vain attempt to de-clutter my desk. I MUST make way for some vintagey stuff (and my NVQ work!!!)

I have 7 more commission cards to make too!!!

chrissnow · 25/03/2008 16:19

I love the fairy card. (since having the girls I seem to have become a bit of a girl myself )

Dingle · 25/03/2008 16:23

Thank you Chris, I really enjoyed making up the fairy card, it's been a long time since I have done any decoupage and I have so many sheets stashed away!!

I am not very girlie, but that what makes crafting so much fun, there are so many different styles to experiment with!!LOL

I have another challenge I am thinking about having a go at, but it's bling...I SO do not do bling!
