Dizzy - I had seen your Bunny before , just forgot. He's fab !

Has he arrived in Australia yet ?

Miaou · 23/03/2008 20:54

Hello folks - my parentals have just left so am getting back into the blogging again now! I have just put up a pic of a washcloth I designed and put up the pattern for free, so am now going to try and get it up on Ravelry. Might get a little more traffic going to my blog, particularly as I haven't got my screen-grab yet (reading through the tech files it can take quite a while for it to get done initially!).

LK, so sorry to hear about all your owl troubles - and also about the etsy attitude to copying - as you say maybe it's something we just have to take on the chin - bloody annoying though!

Miaou · 23/03/2008 21:19

ooooh it's up there now! I am a published knitter

vInTaGeVioLeT · 23/03/2008 22:11

well done miaou - you're famous

gingermonkey has your parcel arrived yet?

here's the trends i've identified blogging tonight - kokeshi and russian stacking dolls, toadstools, little houses, swallows/bluebirds, squirels and fawns!!!

here you go Dior!

Gingermonkey · 24/03/2008 09:31

Oi, Dior - I am a funghi lover (not real life ones to eat, yuk yuk yuk, but to look at - ohhhhhh), and I am also rather fond of the fawn. And I am not twee (well, maybe a little, but not to look at...I hide it well ).

I got interviewed for a blog. Go and look at my fascinating answers (when I say fascinating, I don't necessarily mean fascinating ) here y'are

Miaou - we are not worthy!!!

OP posts:
Nbg · 24/03/2008 09:46

Ooooh very good GM
Although why did you have to go and mention the Miko fabric lady?
I want to buy now!

Dior, dontcha know Fauns/Fawns (I thought it was Fawns?) are trendy atm?
Think retro, think 80's, think Babycham
Just off to look at your new piece.

I'd like to get something done today.
I might do a mock table set up for my stall but for research purposes only

Can I just ask, does anyone use extra lighting on their stalls?
I was thinking of taking some fairy lights.

Nbg · 24/03/2008 09:53

Oh and I forgot to say,

get you Miaou

Miaou · 24/03/2008 09:59

tee hee

IIRC, Fauns are the things in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Ie half goat, half human and therefore fictitious. Fawns are baby deer, ie Bambi (who is also fictitious but nevertheless a fawn). However I am happy to be corrected if I'm wrong

NBG, fairy lights are a great idea - take an extension cable too though (and be prepared to be unable to put them up if you are not near a socket!)

Whizzz · 24/03/2008 10:00

Well I have some ideas for the swap now - just need to decide which one to go with!
Vintage is quite a wide ranging idea isn't it!

Miaou · 24/03/2008 10:04

Oh, and FAB interview gingermonkey! You come across very well in that

Nbg · 24/03/2008 10:06

lol at the Faun/Fawn thing.

Miaou the Fawn expert

vInTaGeVioLeT · 24/03/2008 10:50

oh yes fawns - baby deer [just looked in dictionary] are very twee!! but i quite like "twee"!! but very in fashion - think 1950's Enid Blyton illustrations all toadstall houses, pixies, fawns and ginger beer!!!!

Gingermonkey · 24/03/2008 11:43

I was planning my answers for ages - I thought at first I might sound like a looney. But, hey ho, I am a little bit looney I suppose

DH is on a tidy trip today, I am planning on killing him if he doesn't give up. Bloody Spring cleaning.

NBG - battery fairy lights are the answer to your prayers (extension cable = some clumsy bugger tripping over and you getting sued...well, maybe not sued, but they might drag all your table over and that'd be a nightmare!) I have a couple of ikea sets if you want me to post them to you. I am thinking you don't have an ikea nearby. You can borrow them if you like?

VV - me too 1950s fawns. I have a fab book called Pookie with all sorts of things like that in (it's about a bunny with wings - I'm going to dig it out and have a read, it was my mums when she was a little 'un)

OP posts:
Dingle · 24/03/2008 11:45

VV- could you email me with some colour choices for the images please! I NEED to do something creative today!

Gingermonkey · 24/03/2008 11:48

vv - no parcel yet, but it is bank holiday so the postal service is all messed up. It'll be here tomorrow (excited excited!)

OP posts:
Nbg · 24/03/2008 12:11

Ooooh GM would you mind? That would be really good if I could borrow them.
I dont fancy getting sued
Do you want me to pay postage and do you need my address?

I tell you what I was thinking though, considering this fair is in a hotel, if everyone brought their own lighting and cables and just started plugging them in, what if one of them was a bit dodgy and started a fire?

Obviously I have nothing better to think about.

vInTaGeVioLeT · 24/03/2008 12:26

GM YOU SHOULD'VE HAD IT BY NOW - i sent it first class on tuesday eve. i know it's easter weekend with two bank holidays but really it should've come by thursday? let me know if you haven't had it tomorrow - i'm a bit worried now i have proof of posting though.

vInTaGeVioLeT · 24/03/2008 12:29

my dp is really p@*&ing me off too - he keeps sighing if i'm on line or attempting to craft - so i have sent him off to buy a cheat's roast dinner - he wanted me to go too why? arrgggggghhh

i have P.M.T. . . . . did you guess?!!!!

vInTaGeVioLeT · 24/03/2008 12:36
