meridian · 07/03/2008 17:51

have done a quick blog post on the braclet i made today and a pic of DS pretending to be death.

here

Gingermonkey · 07/03/2008 21:29

For some reason my laptop has refused to allow me onto mumsnet all day - it just wouldn't bring it up at all. Very odd!

Meri - I'm signed up for the swap, whoo!!!

Today I've been very busy...I've had 3 bunnies to make (pirates), a baby friendly (no buttons) doll, and I started the lucylocket bunny. The others aren't finished either - they need stuffing and sewing up though, so I did do rather well. Then a local MNer I met yesterday came round at tea time and bought 2 dolls - how fab! AND I got a £10 off ebay purchase letter in the post, so I just had to buy a bit of fabric, it'd be rude not to, wouldn't it?

blueamema · 07/03/2008 22:04

I've given up crafting today - White wine is out and I've flicked over to notting hill on e4 (very sad!)

Plus i've just noticed beechhill/tilly on cuteable
Well done hun. x

LK - I was sat sewing last night too, so I think it's actually the cool people doing it, not the saddos - the saddos are out in the cold waiting at a bar to try and get a drink, standing up in the smelly sweaty nightclub, then waiting for 2 hours while it rains trying to get a cab home (That'll be me next saturday, I'm off out on a thankfully rare night out with the girls who are no longer girls but all creeping toward middle age )

Well done for the sewmamasew link, LK and to TB for cuteable too!

I woke up this morning to another sale. I'm doing well this week - but I did get a frtune cookie that told me my talents would be recognised and rewarde. So true it seems (watch me not sell another thing for the rest of the year!!!)

Whilst we talk about etsy and people that sell by the shed load. Tiddlywinks has sold nearly 1000 items in a year. That's pretty spectacular going, isn't it? She just asked me for a pirate bunny too, I thought she'd be able to whip up her own. Prob too busy making shed loads of cash!!!!

I've made a couple of things today & put them onto my blog here

I wanted to do some more but the rain was hammering down on the conservatory roof so loudly that it was too noisy!

Nbg · 08/03/2008 20:01

i've been having a wander round etsy and is it just me or does this look like chucky?

well done to lk and tb for the website mentions.
how do they work? does someone kind of nominate you for it or do the people who have the blog go looking?
also well done gm for the all your orders. thats great news!

dh caught me out blog drooling earlier and I was on diors at the time.
dh said " ah ha caught you out looking at cock a too cards"

pmsl

In fact dior, while I'm thinking, do you fancy making me one of those lariat necklaces for me? The one thats on your blog with a knot in it and has the cream, pink and green beads with the leaves at the bottom.
I'm quite fancying a chunky necklace but would love it in all greens.

let me know

Nbg · 08/03/2008 20:18

oh and this stupid pc wont upload my photos so I cant update my blog.

soooo annoying

vInTaGeVioLeT · 08/03/2008 21:27

nbg i hate those reborn dolls - i think they're really creepy and i don't know why anyone would buy one
when my mum found them by chance on eBay she thought they were real babies for sale

daft woman

vInTaGeVioLeT · 08/03/2008 21:31

haven't done any crafts today as i had to update my paediatric first aid today for 6.5 hours - same again next saturday. I'm knackered and my knees hurt from doing CPR on a hard floor . . . was a very good trainer though.

Tillyboo · 08/03/2008 22:36

Nbg - Ew ! that baby doll thing is well creepy. There was a programme on the tele a while back about women who have these dolls and treat them like babies. Gives me the shivers.

GM - Well done on your sales, your on a roll now girl !
Well done LK for the SMS feature too.

And to everyone else who is being so creative making lovely stuff.

Blueamema -thx for the Cuteable mention.

I've just finished a couple of orders, I've blogged them here.
More bunnies but a BIG Eared Doorstop bunny too.

Just a short post as I'm knacky pooed from the Business Link training course today. I'll blog about it tomorrow maybe.

Gingermonkey · 08/03/2008 23:56

TB, one of my friends was talking about that programme - far too weird for my liking. I am freaked out by dolls that look like real babies, and china dolls too - I remember watching a spooky programme when I was little about them (a drama). I'm sure there was a lake and a boat in it too and a big house with spooky dolls, and some blood somewhere. Does anyone else remember it from my very very vague description????

lucykate · 09/03/2008 00:00

gm, have no idea what that could be, but...

all together now!

happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday oh ginger one, happy birthday to you!

vInTaGeVioLeT · 09/03/2008 00:01

ooohh - was it a "hammer house of horror" story? 'cause i watched loads of them when i was much too young and they REALLY really scared me[still scared now ]

Gingermonkey · 09/03/2008 08:18

thank you LK!!!

GreebosWhiskers · 09/03/2008 08:42

Glad you liked it Dior - was a bit worried it might be too pink

They're both machine washable so you don't have to worry about dribbling hot chocolate on your mug cosy

dh has man-flu & is hanging around looking tragic so have to pop off again - will get a good look at all the blogs n threads tomorrow if he manages to drag himself into work.

GreebosWhiskers · 09/03/2008 08:48

ooo meant to add . . .

My partner received her parcel for the big Discworld box swap on Ravelry so I've been able to blog it Will be blogging my parcel (wait 'til you see it - fab) & our Eater swap as soon as dh teaches me how to work his sodding camera.

GreebosWhiskers · 09/03/2008 08:49

Um - that would be Easter swap
