It’s doing a similar job to my previous one at the financial ombudsman lucysmam but on a self employed basis so you get paid for each case that you resolve.

I did a written assessment a couple of weeks ago so I very pleased that I passed that bit.

Myshitisreal · 16/04/2021 20:23

Amazing Cardigan! Looks so good even though I've no idea what pog means, great socks and that's a fancy coloured basket for the lady who likes more muted colours. Love it.

Gorgeous.

@crochetbug 👋

I've started mums dragonfly scarf. Sheesh, I'm not built for reading patterns 😭

lucysmam · 16/04/2021 20:28

Pog = teen speak for good Myshitisreal. Although used less frequently now than a couple of months ago thank fuck Grin

FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack · 16/04/2021 22:56

Pog Grin what a word for a compliment! It looks brilliant lucysmam I'm not surprised she's put it on straight away!

Ooh, best of luck NiceCardigan!

The idea petridishmystery Shock 2 weeks of staring desperately at your stash, one day's knitting followed by frogging and 6 days left to knit the whole thing in a completely different colourway... I'd have a nervous breakdown Grin

Cocopogo · 16/04/2021 22:57

Checking in

InTheNightWeWillWish · 17/04/2021 06:58

Ooo good luck nicecardigan

I’m glad I’m not the only one who didn’t know what ‘pig’ was Confused Glad she liked the cardigan lucysmam

CrochetBug · 17/04/2021 07:03

So much lovely work being done!

Just letting you all know I'm still here. Just waiting for the fog to lift. Forcing myself to do something everyday. I'll get there.

lazylinguist · 17/04/2021 08:34

FlowersBrew @CrochetBug. Sending de-fogging vibes your way.

Hi @Cocopogo!

I'm aware of 'pog' too - my dc say it constantly. Hmm

Just in case anyone else is too tight to buy magazines interested, my library's ebook and magazine service has moved to Libby and there are SO MANY crafting magazines compared to the last provider. Loads of US ones and Russian, Norwegian and Australian too. The patterns in the Russian and Norwegian knitting ones are mostly charted. I'm having a very lazy morning browsing them Smile

FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack · 17/04/2021 10:39

Oh this is too good not to share Grin

Anyone fancy a Jilly Cooper look? This magazine has the pattern you need...

FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack · 17/04/2021 10:45

Try again...

@FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack hahaha that's made my morning Grin
What do you search for if you don't mind me asking?
I have the Libby app and have looked for craft mags/books before and not really had much luck!

Cocopogo · 17/04/2021 10:49

I seem to have lost my crojo somewhere in January. I was working my way through LBOC advent calendar, in between being keyworker and DC and once January came, I decided to put it away and will pick it up in November ready for Xmas. I have three things on the go at the moment 1) Attic coast ripple, I’m doing double bed size so it seems overwhelming at min 2) my first knitted cable jumper, knitting seems so slow and arduous since I took up crochet a couple of years back and after fudging up the initial 200+ stitch rib I just put it down and left it 3) so I decided to find a smaller project so I’m doing an LBOC picot scarf but I’m not enjoying it for some reason

sophs29 · 17/04/2021 10:49

@CrochetBug sending big hugs Thanks

sophs29 · 17/04/2021 11:07

Ah @FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack I've just found the 'crafts' section Grin

FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack · 17/04/2021 11:17

Ah good! Sorry for not replying sooner, I was child wrangling Smile

sophs29 · 17/04/2021 12:04

Haha don't be silly @FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack I know that feeling! Grin

lazylinguist · 17/04/2021 12:09

Well there's plenty of inspiration on these threads for things that might reanimate your crojo (or kojo!) @Cocopogo, but that might not be very conducive to getting your current WIPs finished. Grin

Sympathies on the huge crochet blanket - I only just finished the one we did on here as a CAL, because I extended it so it would go across a double bed. Seemed to go on forever!

Loving the Jilly Cooper look, Flavia!

Thanks, I will try not to get too detailed! @lazylinguist and I’m def not looking forward to doing the boarder on the big blanket!

InTheNightWeWillWish · 17/04/2021 20:04

I did some non-essential window shopping today. Our town has a yarn lady on the market and a posh yarn and fabric shop. I had a look round the posh yarn shop but was very good and didn’t buy any more yarn. Also had a look at yarn lady and managed to grab some buttons for a cowl I made, which was the first ever thing I completed. Now I just need to remember where I stashed my cowl... with decorating things have moved round and I’m not sure where it’s ended up Hmm For the first time in forever I paid cash for my buttons as they were only 45p! Didn’t think I could ask her to put it on card for that amount Grin

crochetbug sending defogging vibes your way

CrochetBug · 17/04/2021 21:33

Thanks everyone. Flowers
The sun was shining today. Although I slept for most of it Grin
I'll force myself to do some crochet tomorrow. The longer I don't do any the less I want to do it. I know if I force myself it lifts my mood a bit. Might make some cards too. Maybe. Unless I sleep all day again Hmm

BookShark · 18/04/2021 00:20

CrochetBug big unmumsnetty hugs. Any chance of forcing yourself into the sunshine to chill out? DH and I were reminiscing (!) about lockdown 1 when it was lovely and sunny, and we spent several weekends just sitting on the patio reading/crocheting (the latter was me, not him!) and it made such a difference to our mood.

On which note, we're off for a walk and pub lunch tomorrow, then a chilled afternoon, so hopefully a bit more Sophie progress. I still can't post photos for some reason, but will try from a laptop at some point and see if that works. But in summary - it's got bigger!

CrochetBug · 18/04/2021 07:15

Thanks @BookShark I really should try and get out. Maybe I can persuade one/both of the boys to come and feed the ducks. Teenagers still do that right? I did plan to tackle the jungle garden over the Easter holidays. But we didn't Hmm

I'm so jealous of those of you that have nice yarn shops/market stalls. Even I could be persuaded out for that Grin. Sadly we only have hobbycraft which is a bit shit.

Scoobygang7 · 18/04/2021 08:05

I need help please I've done the ribbing and first increase and next purl row. I don't understand the rest of the pattern. I've googled and still can't work it out. Do I continue with the pattern with no increases until row 6 then every row 6 increase in total 17 times?
