Foundation treble crochet is easier to start with I think. With can be tricky to spot where the "Chain" stitch is.

I'm not sure if a treble would throw the rest of the pattern SoupDragon but I'll have a go and see.

Oh, I know it won't work if a pattern specifies DC but it is far easier to get the hang of it using TC. Once you have the hang of the technique, DC becomes far simpler.

A chainless start for a ripple blanket is fun 😂

I can see how it read that way! I was filling a few minutes whilst waiting for dinner to cook and didn't give it much thought :)

I have to think "chain... stitch" when I do a foundation row so that I keep track of whether I'm making the "chain" or the stitch that goes on top.

I need help please. I am knitting 1x1 rib stitch. When I get it to the desired length it states knit stocking stitch til it's x length. Do I start the the stocking stitch on the wrong side or right side please? I am assuming right side but I am not certain.
