Anyone fancy a card challenge?

I am in chaos here with the extension going on . I have moved my stash to it's new home but it is in complete turmoil!!!!
I have been trying to keep afloat in the school hols but my crafting has taken a nose dive.
I am attempt to "be prepared" does anyone fancy joining me in a weekly challenge for Xmas cards and maybe even a few pressies?

Thank you AQ for the offer AQ but I wanted something bigger than that- I take it that the size of a sizzlet/ QK die? With the larger embossig folder I can simply back the ebbossed card onto a topper and embellish with a prima or a die cut.

I haven't forgotten the die cuts you wanted been a bit unsettled here shall we say!

soupy, i have been giving your missing mojo some thought , and don't know if you do this already, but when i need a bit of a crafty push, i listen to podcasts while working once the dc's are in bed. there are some really good ones through both the 'craftypod' and 'craftsanity' web sites. i've got them all downloaded onto the computer through i tunes. some i listen to for a bit then switch off, but some are really interesting

Managed to finish a dog tonight. It's for a lady who sings in a ladies barbershop choir so that's why the 'Musical Notes'.

I have cut out another dog so will try and finish it for Tuesday.

I've been on a roll having said I'd get a dog done by tomorrow, I've almost finished another & should be ready to post a pic tomorrow at some point.

Oh well done everyone, some lovely work going on!!! I still have knitting and 3 Thank you cards on my list to do. Knitting teddy arms now but I am going to wait and order that cuttlebug folder before I mke the thank you cards (might put the cuttlebug machine on my order too...sort of a very early Xmas pressie to myself) I would be able to do my xmas die cutting soooo much quicker. Is that a good argument?

i have blogged the bags so far. second one is almost done, just one strap to sew on tonight. and can i just say GGGRRRRRRRRRRR! why do they make it so difficult to do links on blogs?, have been tweaking it this morning and on my 14th attempt finally got a picture link added to the sidebar. thank goodness ds (or lucifer as he is currently known) slept for 2 hours, hopefully he'll be in a better mood this afternoon

Just finished my 2nd Dog. Pics are here or in my profile. Also close up of heart applique.

I've appliqued a heart with hand stitched blanket stitch around the outside. My dh looked at it and said, blimey your sewing machine is really clever isn't it.

When I said I'd hand stitched it he looked a bit surprised ....

It was my first proper attempt at blanket stitch and although it's a bit of a faff I think it's quite effective so will be using it alot me thinks
