Does anyone know of any scrapbook shops in America?

Next week I am on holiday in America, so many people have told me that scrapbooking in America is cheaper! If so where is the best shop/stores to go to.

Thanks

Second what expat and Califrau say. If you love scrapbooking that much, bring an empty suitcase as you'll probably need it

expatinscotland · 12/08/2007 20:48

I loved Michaels.

Sigh.

Have discovered there is one in Arizona where we are going, but not sure if we are anywhere near it! Have to wait and see!

My sister's hangouts are Michaels and Jo-ann's.

Oh, the costumes she makes!

My sister is a far better seamstress than I am, Calif!

My niece just had a 'Pink Pool Party' for her bday today and my sister sewed her a tropical print sarong/wrap over the shoulder dress .

Of course, I don't envy them the fact that it's 100 degrees there with a 107 degree heat index just now and I'm sitting with the windows open and a jumper on.

Jo-Anns - everyone on etsy raves about it. I think it is a crafter's heaven tbh. SEI scrapbooking stuff is fab (I love the buttons, but they are a nightmare to get over here in all of the colours so I am very of you!!!)

I'm off to stomp about in a really grumpy manner now

directline · 13/08/2007 12:15

I have found a Jo anns about 3 miles to where we are staying, so I am going to have to go.

There is a good scrapbooking section in A.I. Friedman too.

GreatGooglyMoogly · 14/08/2007 20:16

Sorry, I've just checked and they are only in NY.

directline · 14/08/2007 20:27

Target has lots of scrapbooking stuff. You may be able to preview online. And Michaels.

directline · 14/08/2007 20:35

Have just put a zip code in for Michaels and there is a store just over a mile away!

Thanks
