Hi all,
For a few weeks I've been knitting a blanket for my DP and I'd love to see what other people are knitting/crocheting at the moment!

Here's the latest picture of my blanket Smile

Thank you Poltergoose, you're very kind.

I'll think have to make another pink one, as DGD (age 3 )is much enamoured of this one and has named her RosyDaisy because she has two flowers embroidered on where buttons would be.

Marcipex · 02/09/2016 21:13

Purplefrog, I did ears in the round, like the toe of a Christmas stocking, and then pinched them flat. I don't know how to link to Ravelry patterns I'm afraid.

PurpleFrog · 03/09/2016 17:30

I have now declared it finished!

It no longer looks like a piglet, but I wondered at one point if I should put a mouse's tail on!

Thanks for your help last night.

He's lovely Purplefrog , how tall is he?

PurpleFrog · 03/09/2016 21:07

Thanks, both. He is approx 26cm tall. How tall are your Big Teds, Marci?

I had intended to do more in different colours, but I think I will look for a different pattern instead. Grin

Marcipex · 03/09/2016 22:48

The big bears are 30 cm or a little over. I realised they were at the upper limit in size, so I started making them a few rows shorter.
Mysteriously, this has made no difference once they are stuffed!

Maybe an experienced toy maker could throw some light on this. I have no idea.
I have told them to bend their knees if anyone actually measures them.

PurpleFrog · 03/09/2016 23:03

I'm sure they are fine for size, Marci.

LunaLoveg00d · 05/09/2016 17:47

I'm making a cowl/scarf thing out of some scrappy yarn I've had lying around for ages. It's knit in two separate sections and joined once complete so looks like the leaves are fanning out. It's a quick knit and you don't have many stitches cast on at once so grows quickly too. It's a Prima pattern.

I'm also making ducks out of scrap yarn for this project : thelittleyellowduckproject.org/

That's pretty Luna but looks tricky to do.

LunaLoveg00d · 08/09/2016 08:15

It's really not - it's just knit, purl, k2tog, ssk and yarn overs. And because you've only got about 15 stitches on the needles as a maximum, if you make a mistake you realise quickly and aren't having to rip out dozens of stitches.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 08/09/2016 12:50

So in the midst on working on so many projects I lost count I've started making a bunny for DD and a chimp each for DS5 & DS6.
They toys will all have "onesies" made of varigated yarn (I copied this idea from someone on my FB group) - the kids have chosen all the wool.

Progress so far: pink & purple bunny, orange/yellow/pink monkey for DS5, green/blue/yellow for DS6.

Very nice so far Zing.
One more bear to post. I've made it four rows shorter. I think it's better.

I've dropped off this thread. I'm currently knitting baby jackets for my second great-nephew of the year and as we speak his mum is being induced. Knitting with your fingers crossed is not easy Smile

Marcipex · 11/09/2016 20:39

Ooooh exciting Woollybackswife

TheWoollybacksWife · 11/09/2016 20:45

It certainly is Marci - my poor DSis is pacing the floor Grin. I'm just hoping it doesn't go the same way as my induction - there were firemen and I was labouring in the car park.

I must get my act together re the Woolly Hugs Christmas sale. I have Minecraft coloured wool and a reasonable amount of time to do something. As a result of multiple family babies and other commitments I didn't get involved in the Chernobyl project this year do must do something

Marcipex · 11/09/2016 21:08

Firemen!! Crikey, that sounds too exciting.

Best of luck and have fun with newborn cuddles 🙂

LearningCrochetTipsNeeded · 18/09/2016 19:58

These are all amazing!

I'm fairly new at crochet and am making a basket weave Afghan out of Bernat blanket yarn and a 12mm hook. I've finished the ball I have so waiting on delivery of 3 more so I can finish! It's a quick make this one and the first think I've made that hasn't bored me half way through.

Here it is as a WIP

Well, I've done another teddy, I'm not sure about this one, I think she might be a bit bossy.

That's a nice basket weave, very autumnal.

I love this thread. I'll be back soon with DS's Harry Potter inspired jumper.

Just one sleeve and the neck to do. It's my first jumper so have had to fix a few mishaps along the way.

Marcipex · 02/10/2016 23:36

I love to see anything Potter, I'll be back to see it.
I've finished this cuddle doll for the Woolly Hugs Christmas hugs project.

That's very cute Marcipex, and so neat. How long does something like that take you?

Marcipex · 03/10/2016 13:12

Thanks AnnPerkins, I aim to do one a week in the evenings. I work weekdays and run at weekends, so not much time.

DollyBarton · 04/10/2016 14:22

I just made this last night! My second ever knitted thing. First was a blanket for my daughters dolly.
