Hi all,
For a few weeks I've been knitting a blanket for my DP and I'd love to see what other people are knitting/crocheting at the moment!

Here's the latest picture of my blanket Smile

I didn't have a pattern, followed a you tube video. It's called the virus shawl and is easy. Most people on ravelry seem to use a 3ply or dk but I used a chunkyish Rico melange wool and a 6mm hook. Be warned it is very addictive.

It's the pink flesh coloured background and the way the thumbnail has trimmed the photo :) it looks like a pair of triangular pants

qazxc, those are superb.

I've finished another teddy. The rainbow wool is a pain when you come to sew things up, the yarn only matches for an inch or so.

Another great teddy!

I eventually found my stuffing - somewhere where I was positive I had looked. Grrr... I have sewn him up, but can't decide what to do about the ears, so have left long tails just now. I will try and post a pic later to ask for opinions.

Marcipex · 02/09/2016 16:24

PurpleFrog They're all excited about seeing their cousin!

PurpleFrog · 02/09/2016 16:49

Hmm - cousin looks more like a jaundiced piglet than a bear. Hmm
Not sure they would recognise him!

PurpleFrog · 02/09/2016 19:59

Here is Ted No 1 (aka The Jaundiced Piglet). The original pattern has the teddy wearing a nightcap, so I just left it off and sewed the ears on slightly higher. But, I'm not happy with it. Before I sew in all the tails, do you think I should:

(1) Make bigger ears ?
(2) Move the ears down a bit and make the nightcap?
(3) Just sew in the tails and declare it finished!

Polter - I agree. I followed the pattern exactly for the ears and they look wider on the pattern picture in Ravelry: Sweet Dreams Teddy

The cap really changes the proportions doesn't it?

It does! I think I was a bit naive to think I could just redistribute the features a bit, after omitting the hat.

Marcipex · 02/09/2016 20:45

Oh he's sweet Purple, his ears are a bit pointy but he's lovely. Maybe he's from Vulcan😍
What yarn is the multi coloured body?

His fellow adventurers have lined up to wave to him. See below 😀
Poltergoose, I'm using the pattern of Improvise-and-Bodge-It, and if anyone has a better one that's fairly simple, I'd be very grateful.

Gosh that's quite a collection, Marci! They all look great! Maybe you should publish your pattern on Ravelry...

Thanks for your kind words. The body yarn is from an unbranded cone of acrylic 4ply that I got in a job lot from eBay a few years ago!

I'm leaning towards crocheting one large ear and seeing what it looks like pinned on.
