Hi all,
For a few weeks I've been knitting a blanket for my DP and I'd love to see what other people are knitting/crocheting at the moment!

Here's the latest picture of my blanket Smile

He's lovey! Can you keep him and do another?

Kwirrell · 08/08/2016 08:42

Hi All, I have had to give up knitting and crochet and would love to pass on some of my hooks an needles. If any one has any specific requirements, I will be happy to search my stuff and post on to you.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 08/08/2016 13:52

What a lovely offer Kwirrel

If nobody replies (hope they do!) maybe you could ask in Woolly Hugs topic as well?
I'm sorry you can't do it anymore. I hope you can do some other hobbies though.

patchworkpolly · 08/08/2016 14:01

Can i join too? Im self-taught but only recently have upped the anti to get something actually finished!!
Im off to a festival on Thursday and I'm 2 colours off finishing the border as I'm desperate to show off this beautiful abundance of colours!!
As other people have mentioned Attic24 is my inspiration, I think I share Lucy's obsession with all things colourful and have managed to get this far in around 7 weeks!!
I've loved every second of crocheting this blanket, watching the colours emerge and I absolutely believe thats because you join as you go - as she says in the tutorial, a lot of people hate the making up part of a project, me included!!

Wow so many fabulous things on this thread. I'm just finishing a baby blanket, I was thinking of doing myself a cardigan next, but I'm loving the monster pants.

tiddlyipom · 10/08/2016 13:33

This is a beaded silk shawl I made earlier this year.
I'm taking my first ever crochet lesson in a couple of weeks, I was so inspired by all the beautiful crochet blankets on this thread that I signed up, after trying and failing to teach myself.

Gorgeous Tiddly

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 10/08/2016 14:13

That's beautiful Tiddly

Polly
I love your blanket.
Is the border made of double crochet stitches? Looks great!

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 10/08/2016 14:15

Actually I wonder if the border is a repeat of 1DC, Ch1.
Can you tell me please?

SoupDragon · 10/08/2016 14:20

The border is on the Attic24 blog.

SoupDragon · 10/08/2016 14:23

Here it is. she calls it " linen stitch edging".

patchworkpolly · 10/08/2016 21:30

Sorry Zing I've been at work so didn't see your question, yes Soup is right but it's basically Dc1 Ch1 all the way round. It's 21 rows which makes the border about 10cm, a lovely finish to a beautiful blanket. I'm going to try some of her Mandala circles over the weekend which she has used as either wall decorations or to put under vases of flowers, etc.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 11/08/2016 02:58

Thanks polly , I was pretty sure, but best that you confirmed it.

Have you received the samples yet? Pls let me know either way, I don't mind trying to send another lot in case they got lost.

tiddlyipom · 11/08/2016 07:44

Thank you Sooverthis and Zing ( forgot I wasn't on the Ravelry boards for a minute there and tried to "love" your posts...)

TheMouseInMyPocket · 11/08/2016 09:54

I'm making Lucy's of Attic24 crochet bag. It's going to be massive!Shock

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 11/08/2016 10:15

Mouse is that the aforementioned "linen stitch"?
Looks lovely.
I've just deiced during my morning coffee to make a basket with this stitch to store my "finished but needs peskies done" stuff in.
I want a big one but also want it quick-ish, so currently contemplating between aran and chunky wool. Shame Stylecraft Aran & Chunky don't have as many colours as DK.
But luckily King Cole and Hayfield do (and the 3 combine ok) so I predict another Wool warehouse "shopping trip".Grin

TheMouseInMyPocket · 11/08/2016 10:42

Zing it's this pattern - attic24.typepad.com/weblog/crochet-bag.html . It's basically just rounds and rounds of treble crochets. I'm making it in aran weight and is working up quite quickly, and I am not the fastest crocheter! I think it is meant to be a stash bag, so might be right for what you need? I'm planning to make it into a "proper" bag, so I'll add lining and maybe some inner pockets. That's the plan, anyway, I've never done any sewing in my life, so we'll see how it goes Grin

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 11/08/2016 10:53

Of course it is.
Which size hook are you using?

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 11/08/2016 10:54

Oh and please may I have wool & colour details. Sorry for grilling you.

SoupDragon · 11/08/2016 10:57

I once made a bag that I felted into a cat basket instead as it was so big.

The spaniel sleeps in it Hmm
