Sizzix Swop.

Just a thought after Christmas shall we have a sizzix die swop???

This is how it would work.

Basically you cut 50 sizzix die cuts that you have and then send them on to me with an SAE.

I will then sort out all the packs and send you die cuts that you dont have.

You would need to email me a list of dies that you have so you dont get duplicates and also a preference of colours that you would like.

I will send out emails to all that are taking part and give a list of colours, dies etc that people are short of.

This will take ages to sort out so bear with me!!!

Can all those who want to take part sign up by 5th Jan (if we get 10 names before this date then the swop will start earlier)

Emails to confirm the dies you have should be

sent to

jayzmummy at yahoo dot co dot uk

by 5th Jan

If anyone wants to take part in this swop, who does not have a sizzix then they are more than welcome, but they would need to send 10 packs of assorted fibres....each pack containing 4, three meter lengths of funky fibres (buy four assorted balls of wool and cut it into 10x 3 metre lengths, so each of the 10 bags would then contain 12 meteres of fibre)Does that make sense????

This swop would be open to the first 10 that join up. You will all recieve back a parcel which will contain an assortment of 50 die cuts and a pack of funky fibres.

All dies/fibres will need to be cut and posted by 20th Jan for the completion of the swop by 27th Jan.

ALPHABETS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SWOP.

So anyone up for it???

I know it's cheeky, but would there be any way you could put the code nos. by the dies as then I would know exactly which one was on the sizzix site. (well for the frames & scrapbooking ones anyway) some are obvious.

Am I gonna get shot down for this?

AuntyQuated · 30/12/2005 21:47

if i wwas you UCM i would be running for cover!!

UCM · 30/12/2005 21:52

Yep best go now, be back in 15 mins. Sorry JM Darling, but I am a bit confused, thick, blond, from Essex, etc

JayzMummysATurkeyStuffer · 30/12/2005 21:59

Pootle,
All of the dies you sent me where on the original list that was emailed out...DH and I have just spent the last hour double checking everything and they are there

Ive sent out a new email which has all dies on...who has what...so now you can see for yourself!!

Thats it for now...THE SWOP IS NOW CLOSED! No one else can join or else I will be here forever sorting it out...much as I love swops, this is taking up loads of time to organise and I do have a life believe it or not

Just look through the lists...send me a wish list of the ones you would like and I will email you next week with a cutting list of the ones people want.
You can choose up to 60 die cuts each.
PLEASE make sure you list a preference of colour BUT this does not gaurentee you will get them as it depends on what cardstock the cutter has available.

Thanks for taking part and enjoy.

JMxxx

Pixiefish · 30/12/2005 23:35

JM- is it ok if I say whatever I haevn't got so long as its pastel. does that make things easier or harder for you? If it makes things harder for you then I'll be specific

JayzMummysATurkeyStuffer · 31/12/2005 00:17

Thats fine Pixie...Ive already done your list

OP posts:
UCM · 31/12/2005 00:22

I don't think it is Pixie, you will be given a list of what to cut and to what colour. But a big plus is what you ask for you will get back. Eh Hem

JayzMummysATurkeyStuffer · 31/12/2005 00:31

You been on the pop again UCM????
Pixie means she has asked for die cuts of the dies she hasnt got and wants them in pastel colours.
The easiest request so far!!!

UCM · 31/12/2005 00:53

Ok Pix, I understhand now

Dingle · 31/12/2005 11:05

JM, I don't want to tread on your toes, but I am more than happy to adapt your spreadsheet and include 38 numbers. I can't do it overnight, but I will be spending some time on the sizzix site today working out which dies to choose!

I will even keep it updated as we all buy new dies. It's not a lot but it is something I can contribute towards in my own time if you see what I mean, without too many deadlines. I don't feel I will be up to all the planning and organising that something like this takes until Amelia is at full time school. Hopefully that will be in September but we have the statementing hurdle to overcome yet.

If you want me to start, please just LMK.

Just going to have a quick cuppa and then I'll start drooling over the sizzix site!

hullabaloo · 31/12/2005 11:17

Can I ask just ONE more question? Are we cutting out each section of the die or just one. eg. If I cut out the pencil, do I cut out the lead part and the coloured part and the rubber so that whoever gets it can put it all together or am I just cutting out one pencil outline? I really hope that makes sense!

Dingle · 31/12/2005 11:38

Hulla, I think really you should play it by ear. Personally as long as I have time I will cut out what I would prefer personally, unless advised otherwise.

For example I tend to cut the car fronts on one colour card, and then the bumpers with a silver cardstock.

hullabaloo · 31/12/2005 14:31

Thanks Dingle, I figured that would be best but just wanted to make sure I had got it right.

anorak · 31/12/2005 14:41

So do we just write yes into the grid next to whatever shapes we want?

Dingle · 31/12/2005 14:42

JM!!!!! JM!!!!!!!

HELP!!!!!

I don't know what to ask for! Don't know what to pick first...like a kid in a candy shop!!
Roughly how many different cuts are "acceptable!"
At the end of the day too many is going to get confusing for those cutting out but it's poor ol' you that is going to have to put all the packages together.

My guess is that if this goes well we can do another later on, so it's best to only choose a few.

JayzMummysATurkeyStuffer · 31/12/2005 14:45

You can choose up to 60 die cuts....just remeber though we are all going to be doing the cutting!!!!
Some have choosen 10 of one die and then a few of each of the others....its your swop so you choose what you want.
