Dear all lovely ladies past, present and future. Welcome to support thread number two, to help us through the anxious TTC waiting, early scary weeks of pregnancy, nasty scans and tests, growing bumps and babies and everything in between. May this thread bring luck and (eventual) joy to us all and at least we'll all be here to hold eachothers' hands along the way. x

Cross posted with Drama. Hang in there, crap TV is a good idea when you're anxious. We'll be thinking of you tomorrow xxxx

MimsyStarr · 27/09/2010 21:16

Good luck for tomorrow Dramamama. Hope you don't have to wait long for the result. x

Crazycatlady · 27/09/2010 21:29

Thinking of you Drama, I really hope it all goes well tomorrow and you get the results quickly.

Coffee I know what you mean about rare moments of normality then retreating back to feeling cautious. DH is much more upbeat and keeps talking about 'When Elmo is born' etc... and he's desperate to find out if it's a girl or a boy so he can get all excited and start planning. I meanwhile am quietly biting my nails in the corner...

West Sussex is lovely. I particularly like the area around Lewes and have spent some lovely pub lunches in Ditchling too. I'll certainly be asking for your thoughts on locations etc! xx

Havingkittens · 27/09/2010 22:32

Hello, sorry I've been quiet. Just so busy at the moment and working long days. Most of the weekend driving to various out of town car dealers. Still not made a decision or had much time to think about it!

Some lovely news on the thread. Must confess, between the increase in numbers on here and being rather manic with work and other stuff I'm struggling to keep up too!

Great to hear babyJ is all ok Numpty. I had a sneaky peek at your pics, she looks like a little sweetheart.

Also lovely pics of katie's little fella. Glad to hear that you are feeling more relaxed. Breast feeding is only a good idea if it works for both of you I think. FF will give you more opportunity to share the care with your other half too.

Littlepoot, so happy to hear your scan went well. I can't believe so many of you are pretty much half way now!

Yay, for Viv. So far, so good.

Mooms, try not to worry too much, they do say that full on symptoms don't kick in 'til 7-8 weeks and every pregnancy is different. The first time I was pregnant I had such sore knockers I struggled going over speed bumps (and I live in the place which was famous for having the most and biggest speed bumps in London!), and I miscarried that pregnancy, the two that I didn't miscarry but terminated they didn't hurt at all. I don't think you can tell much by your symptoms of lack of. What you have so far all sounds pretty normal, weeing, tiredness etc.

Coffee, brilliant news from you too.

Good luck to Catlady on Friday and to Drama tomorrow.

Catlady, I work in advertising and do quite a lot of work with M&C Saatchi at the moment. They are quite a nice bunch, if not a bit 'public school tory' - hence two of their main clients are the Conservative Party and The Daily Mail! Lovely offices there with a cute astro turf carpeted board room. Not sure how much more I can tell though as I don't have a huge amount of contact with them as I deal with the production companies that they commission to shoot the commercials. There are usually 2-3 agency people on set but I did meet a lot of them during the run up to the election.

Mimsy, sorry to hear this month wasn't your month. I have just had my "fertile window" over the weekend so we'll see....

Love to you all. Sorry if I've missed anyone. Just did a 13 hr day and on my way to bed now so I can get up at 5.30 again Sad. Mustn't complain though, all you original members will remember me complaining like mad through the first quarter of the year for having no work so I am making hay whilst the sun shines!

Mishtabel · 28/09/2010 00:10

Hi all, just quickly (as school holidays here) popping in to say YAY for your good news scans Littlepoot & Viv Grin

All the best for today Drama. Hopefully at this point in time you are sleeping peacefully xx

Kittens, well done posting that after such long day. It is hard to keep up isn't it? You must be exhausted from all the work and SWI (I'm in the know re: that acronym now thanks to Cant). Good luck with it. Thanks to you, I just realised Numpty had pictures up - oh so so cute Numpty!

Good luck for next month Mimsy xx

Now I'm off to see if anyone else has pictures up that I've missed (then I really will get up and start the day - really I will...)

Love to all xxx

katiecubs · 28/09/2010 08:37

Yay Viv and LP on your scans super news!!

Good luck Crazycat with your scan this week and Drama with your Amnio - you will be just fine!

Sorry SWI didn't work out this time Mimsy i will keep my fingers crossed for next time. Kittens likewise i hope you get your BFP! You sound like you have been working mega hard so i hope you get a bit of time off soon.

Coffee i think it's good you are having moments of excitement - try and embrace them, your baby is growing and dveloping just fine and you will be a mummy before you know it :)

Am getting lots of definite smiles now from Felix and am absolutely loving it, it's wonderful to have that connection.

Katie x

NumptyMum · 28/09/2010 09:51

Wow - busy thread! Not been on for a day or two and there's loads going on.

So glad that scans have been fine for LittlePoot and Viv; hope the time flies for you Catlady ahead of Friday. Also hope you keep your spirits up, Coffee - I found it easier as my pregnancy went on and mw appointments got more frequent, it's the times inbetween that are harder.

Thinking esp of Drama today, really hope it goes well and that you have no other concerns re amnio over the next couple of days.

Mimsy - sorry to hear no BFP this month; must meet up sometime soon (before weather turns!). Will try and remember to text you... and Kittens, good luck with SWI (love that term!) esp when you are so busy.

Um... losing track of who else is on here now! Baby brain. Hope all is well for Gina, Mooms and Gooldy and still thinking of Sarahmia and Wombat.

Mishtabel, Allstars, Cant and Katie; it's good to hear from you and know that the babies are all well. I've put some photos up but they aren't visible to general public - if anyone can't see them who wants to see them, just let me know!

Right, better go and get stuff done. xxx

katiecubs · 28/09/2010 12:26

Oh they are both gorgeous Numpty - what lovely blond locks DS has :)

GinaFB · 28/09/2010 17:31

Hello to all from the beautiful Lake District!! It's been hard to post with barely any reception and have just caught up on the weeks posts!!!

Some wonderful news on here at the moment, it's great!! Coffee, a boy how exciting!! My fella has been very active I can't believe how often I feel him kick!

Love to everyone and will post properly once I'm back on a proper computer!!! Xxx

Dramamama · 28/09/2010 20:35

Hello all,
Good news here amnio went well; my consultant looked at the heart in great detail (as that was the main marker with Liam) and it was perfect 4 chambers and everything! i cryed i was so relieved! all the organs look normal and baby is the right size, i asked if she could tell me the sex and she did have a look but the umbilical cord was in the way! (grrr) although she thinks (and told me not to take this as gospel till i get my full results in 2 weeks)
it is a little girl!!!! i nearly fell off the bed lol i was convinced i didn't make pink ones! Grin i get my quick results on friday so keep your fingers firmly x'ed for me.
Sorry for the self indulgent post i'm just so exhausted mentally and emotionally i promise i will do a more personal one soon! xxxxxxxx

MimsyStarr · 28/09/2010 22:29

Well done Dramamama, great news!

Mishtabel · 28/09/2010 22:59

That's wonderful Drama! Hope you can relax a bit now in the lead up to Friday. Btw, if you're interested, I'm pretty sure they can tell you the sex with the quick results xx

Gina, aren't those little kicks beautifully reassuring? Best part of being pregnant surely. Enjoy your time away xx

Well, I have finally got around to doing my profile (not an actual profile - more like pictures). Took me ages to work out why it would let me post some pics and not others, but it's all sorted now (just had to email them to myself to make them smaller)

Good morning/night everyone xxx

NumptyMum · 28/09/2010 23:33

Drama I'm so glad today seems to have gone well, really pleased for you and also hope the days fly past til Friday and quick results...

Gina - hope you're having a good holiday, the Lakes in autumn are beautiful.

Mishtabel - Bella is gorgeous, loving that photo in the pink top where she's buried in the sand. She looks a very happy girl Smile

Night night all, xx

Coffeeandchocolate · 30/09/2010 09:27

Great news Drama, keeping everything crossed for tomorrow then. I hope you are keeping busy (although I'm sure George is doing his best Smile )

Catlady, lots and lots and lots of luck for tomorrow, I know too well there is nothing to say today to make you feel less anxious, but you already know the "rule", distraction is key. We'll try to hold your hand virtually.

Mishta and Numpty, lovely photos, the little ones are gorgeous!

Gina, I hope the weather is not too bad. Getting those flutters is an amazing feeling. I'm getting them too now and I'm oscillating between excitement and fear, and I'm also getting quite emotional remembering my little girl. I just hope nothing bad will develop from now on and our next scan will not show any abnormality. I haven't told work yet but will have to soon, I'm starting to show. I was hoping to keep it a secret until our next scan, but I don't think it will be possible, 3 weeks still to go.

Anyway, I have to dash, big wave to everyone and looking forward to Drama and Catlady's news tomorrow!

LittlePoot · 30/09/2010 17:26

Hi Dramamama - how are you doing? I was hoping to log on and find you'd had your results early or something. Poor love - you must be getting anxious. Hope you're managing to find plenty of distraction and fingers crossed for good news tomorrow. xxxx

And hang on in there crazycat - everything crossed for some more good news. xxx

Dramamama · 01/10/2010 17:55

Hi everyone,
It's good news! mini-drama is absolutely fine! well as far as the quick results go anyway, i actually got my results at about 10 this morning but have been on the phone and at my parents all day. I'm so happy i could burst..but i fear that may make a terrible mess on the rug Grin
Now fingers crossed for crazycat! XxXxXxX

Crazycatlady · 01/10/2010 19:32

Wonderful news Drama! I'm so pleased for you, that's just brilliant.

I am very happy to be able to say we also had good news today. Everything was as it should be at the 20 week scan, the sense of relief is unbelievable. I don't think I'll ever feel completely like a 'normal pregnant woman' but I certainly feel a little more relaxed and just so happy to have got through this milestone.

Thank you so much for the messages of encouragement over the last couple of days, I have been reading and it really did help.

Coffee is your next scan at 21 weeks? If you're anything like me it will certainly be hard to hide until then. At 20 weeks I'm most definitely in bump territory. I can completely understand the need to hold on to the news though. There are still many, many people we haven't told and I've been sporting many a baggy top. Very happy for them to think I've eaten all the pies for a little while longer...

Lovely to hear news of the little ones! So glad they're doing well.

DH are going to spend the evening on the sofa with fish and chips and champagne and try to take it all in... xx

NumptyMum · 01/10/2010 20:41

Great news Crazycat and Drama - I'm so pleased for you both! Looks like Jan/Feb is going to be a busy month on this thread... fish, chips and champagne sounds great Grin

allstarsprincess · 01/10/2010 20:51

Evening all. Really lovely to hear all this wonderful news.

Numpty and Mishtabel your babies are beautiful. :)

allstarsprincess · 01/10/2010 22:03

I have posted some pics of DD and DS on my profile. :)

NumptyMum · 01/10/2010 22:16

Love them! BabyJ gives me that same look that Littlestar has... And your DD looks so grown up, beautiful girl. You must be very proud of them Smile.

Coffeeandchocolate · 02/10/2010 08:29

Such great news, and I like the thread names of our little ones, so far we have Dot, mini Drama, Little Miss Cantdo, Coffeebean... should we also have a Catbaby? :) Iknow the relief you're talking about Catlady, it's unbelievable. Yes, my next scan is at 21 weeks, 19 October.

Drama, it's not important, I know, but have they also been able to confirm if little Drama is a boy or a girl?

I haven't been able to post yesterday as I haven't been feeling too well, nothing really bad, just tiredness and sickness coming in waves, not ideal if you have a meeting at work... Plus I have round ligament pain, I find it unpleasant to walk for more than 15 minutes. Here goes the exercise out of the window.

Allstars, I love the photos, thank you for posting them. Your dd is so cute in her dress and it's so nice to see Littlestar as well (another thread name). :)

I hope you are well lovely ladies and enjoying the week-end,rainy as it might be. xxxx

katiecubs · 02/10/2010 15:53

Brilliant news Crazycat and Drama am chuffed to bits for you both!

Allstars and Mishtabel lovely pics of your little ones they are adorable :) x

Dramamama · 02/10/2010 18:18

hi all,
coffee they couldn't tell me whether mini-drama was a boy or a girl i did ask but she was addament they couldn't tell me till the full results so i guess we'll have to wait and see! i don't mind so much now i know s/he is ok (well pending the full results) have you had any cravings yet? i've just developed one for lemons!?!

Havingkittens · 02/10/2010 21:12

Catlady and Drama, that's brill news from both of you.

Today I made up the most lovely bride and wedding party. There were two of the cutest babies there, one 11 weeks and on 9 months. I am now feeling sooo broody. I am so scared of going through another loss. I know there are lots of others who have taken a good few tries before succeeding but I still feel so cross about the fact that I have been pregnant 5 times now and all I have to show for it is a thick waist and a spotty face. Sometimes I think this is what I get for spending all of my 20s swearing that I have no interest in children and that I wouldn't be having any. Be careful what you wish for!

I have my final appointment with the hematologist on Monday (if I can actually get there despite the tube strike). I suspect she won't tell me anything new and that it will just be a case of "You've just been unlucky. Keep trying if you feel you can." rather than anything solvable. I am now taking 75mg asprin, 5mg Folic Acid, and Vitamins B and D every day in the hope of improving my chances.

Sorry, feeling a bit sorry for myself this evening. And anxious. Sad
