PH Take your stength wherever you can find it, DD or your parents or whatever. It is so shite all this and so not fair.

I now understand about Lightening McQueen, it sounds like a guy I would've went for 10yrs ago and you certainly wouldn't want one of them in your kitchen baking either!!

Am supposed to be sorting through kitchen drawers and organising things but I am so, so bored. Rain is battering down but the air smells lovely, must be all the acid. Now if I'd a seating plan to do that would keep me occupied, although I appreciate its not everyones cup of tea.

Hope mini Bez is being a little angel today for you

Hello Mrs V
Okay - here is a job for you.
You are now officially in charge of organising the thread Christmas party including dress code, no dressing gowns allowed, and virtual seating plan.
Good luck with the drawers.

spotting ceased. False alarm. Think I may have been imagining / willing it to be there?

busierbee · 06/10/2009 13:29

But I had the same darling Bezz.
I spotted tiny bit and then it took 24 hours for it to really start. But you know what, at least with D and C it will be over, over, over.
Are you distracted? Is mini being a good mini?
(Can not get out of my head that one of my friends calls her fanny, her mini!)

bezzyk · 06/10/2009 13:34

well, I think that spotting was exaggerating it slightly. More like tiny brown bit on paper....sorry TMI.

Feel relieved that have D&C, as you say, will be OVER. The bleeding could go on for weeks, also means that I can't get on with things, in case it gets out of hand.

Mini bez being ok, just back from her gym class though, where she was a brat.

busierbee · 06/10/2009 13:56

Ah - but it is brown often.
Matters not I guess - what matters lovey is for it to be over and life to be as it was, or can be.
Have exhausted self doing too much admin - sorting children's oyster cards, booking flights for hockey tournament, calling plumbers, work calls and emails- do you ever get that thing where you are truly DESPERATE for a wee, but somehow cannot interrupt your jobs to go? And also have had no lunch so, what should be a fairly low key day, turns into a weary making day? Am off for a pee, a sandwich and a lie-down.
Bye Bezz

don't you just hate how these small tasks seem to eat into your day?

Mini Bez been in her room for 1 hr 10 mins and still not asleep. I do fear that the end of the daytime nap is nigh. How will I survive? argh

she never cried while in her room. I fetched her down after 90 mins. So, I'll carry on putting her in there for now. Sometimes she falls asleep. Sometimes not.

Off the topic though. Does anyone know if I need to take my nailpolish off my toes before surgery?

Cantdothisagain · 06/10/2009 16:25

I had nailpolish on when I had DD, and had an emergency section... nobody mentioned it...

How did you get on today PH?

busierbee · 06/10/2009 20:29

I think you should paint each nail a different colour, shave your legs and die your mini purple.
That should cheer up the nurses.
Bezzzy - let's get tomorrow over and done with shall we?
Is my due date tomorrow to - and am feeling tizzed about it now that I know ( I had erased it from my memory and Bezz reminded me) - feel panicky - like my body knows automatically it should be hugely pregnant.
Am off to eat dark chocolate, orange bahlsen biscuits, and vanilla roibush tea.

peanuthead · 06/10/2009 20:48

Funnily enough my dd didn't nap today either and I suspect it is the end of our her 2 hour daytime nap... so dh and I will just have to stop our afternoon

relaxing

Like the idea of cogitation time - although it's quite nice in a way as it means we can do stuff in the afternoons. But I will lose 10 hours study time a week. Eek.

Feeling much better for a trip to Sainsburys - nothing bad happened - and met a friend this afternoon who's been doing alot of handholding and also has infertility issues and feel like it will be ok in the end.

The wedding is abroad Bee, I would have gone if I hadn't been pregnant but felt so sick and tired and not bothered. I don't mind him going at all, think it will be good for him and us but just got to get through the weekend without him somehow...

And re my eggs, oh they're shite, believe me. After trying for 18 months including 4 failed IUIs and a cancelled IVF where they failed to get a single egg out of me despite injecting huge amounts of nasty hormones I'm under no illusions about my fertility. The only way dd gets a sibling is if we pay for one. It's why this whole mess feels worse - I can't just start shagging again - well I can of course - but nothing will come of it, I won't get pregnant again with my eggs - that was it, my miracle baby.

A due date and a d and c all on the same day... what's the opposite of champagne? In fact 2 due dates. Roll on thursday....

he he Justa, thanks for picking up the mood around here.

Well done PH, you've done a cracking job. Uphill from here.

Am armed with the necessities for tomorrow.

  1. Dressing gown - forgot that last time, had to be wheeled to surgery in bed to avoid showing my arse walking down the corridor.
  1. Fully charged Nintendo.
  1. Freshly bake carrot cake (just call me Nigella)
  1. Pizza Express pizzas
  1. 3 tubs of Haagen Dazs.
  1. 4 Bottles of wine.

Think that's enough?

I hope tomorrow is OK for you Bee. Funnily enough, this D&C is taking my mind off it all.

Off to bath to shave legs, don't want to put gynae off.

Love to everyone

BK xx

bezzyk · 06/10/2009 21:40

DOH PH, I meant downhill from here....

busierbee · 06/10/2009 22:07

Oh Bezz - wish could be in adjacent room to you in a wee bed with pizza and wine at the ready for you.
Will be back here at Thread HQ darling for when you get back.
Hope I was not too cheeky back there - I totally connect to your loss as you know but was just responding to the lighter mood here tonight.
I blame Justa.
PH - you sound lighter too after a trip to the real world. I too have been discussing egg donation - what a curious and unsettling concept it is when you consider it. Golly. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the matter at some stage.
B xx
