Hello
Busier Bee here - I felt that before I went to bed I wanted to open up officially a new place for weary travellers of those on the road that we have chosen to rest our heads, muse, sob, moan and support each other.
Also the kind, compassionate souls who have not been there but who offer their support and lend an ear and pass a gentle word.
We have chosen to be here and we are here and we are not alone.
Thank you so much all of you -for I personally do not know where I would have been in the last few weeks without you all.
Night - sleep well
kisses and thoughts
BB xx

Hi all

Update from me: Had my scan yesterday - nuchal measurement fine (1.7mm), nasal bone there, blood flow through heart fine. Took blood to do combined test for risk factor and will get this next week. So will then decide whether or not to do CVS - although we havent' decided what are 'good odds'

Feeling less anxious - (pair of us beforehand were ridiculous, I practically had a nervous twitch). Maybe this will be OK. They dated me at 12 weeks +5, so a week further on than I thought.

Then went to see In the Loop and had a good laugh.

Thanks all for asking after me and for your positive thoughts. I've been hovering. Will keep you updated.

BB - I do hang out in Stoke Newington sometimes although I'm more a Springfield Park/hackney marshes girl. I don't have the right buggy for Stokey!

bezzyk · 14/05/2009 12:38

fantastic news Lindso, so so so happy for you! Thanks for keeping us up to date, i've been thinking about you.

I can't imagine what the last few weeks have been like.

Yay for lindso!

linspins · 14/05/2009 20:08

Lindso, that's really good news. Scans are so nerve wracking, well done!!

And further on too than you thought, always a bonus!

Hi all, well, my poor little daughter has chicken pox! She's doing ok so far, but I am dreading if they get too itchy because she LOVES picking spots, scabs etc. She made a scar on her face once from a tiny insect bite...I think I'll have to fashion her some scratch mitts if she starts!

Also, we are taking up all the floor boards in the dining room to put some insulation down, so the computer will be disconnected until Monday! Argh. May be able to check in using one at my Mum's house, but if you don't hear from me that's why.

So, have a good weekend all.

Bee, I hope your meeting went ok.

Take care everyone, love Lins xxxx

bezzyk · 14/05/2009 20:16

oh no! Poor mini Linspins!

hope she gets well soon xx

treedelivery · 14/05/2009 22:04

See you after the weekend lins, hope dd is better soon.

Big waves to all. How is everyone?

Was at a womens and childrens hospital today [with dd2] saw all the fetal medicine sighns and thought of you all.

fun? I'm not entirely sure I'm familiar with that concept...

Might have a look at the religious posts, I've been having a tough time in that 'department' as I was raised as a Catholic, so suspect I'm doomed to an eternity in hell for what I've done...

B x

PS GO STUDY! not sure how you're managing to work and be pregnant at the same time, I'm far too 'all over the place' in the first trimester to even contemplate concentrating on something for more than 5 mins

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 11:43

Hi Justa - there is nothing to say is there, except Monday will come, after Sunday, as sure as taxes. Awful awful waits. Awful. I suppose get mega busy, I think study is very optimistic! At any time!

f I had tried to study in 1st trimester I would have fallen over.

How is everyone?

Bezzyk - I think everyone feels the same as you, religion or no religion, its just you have a 'label' for it I suppose. For none religious people they would feel the same sense of forboding [sp?] I guess, but express it differently. Remember, making peace with yourself and with your God is entirely different to making peace with the teachings of an organisation [in my view]. Thats how I get through life as a Catholic. God is bigger than the religion. It is difficult, but we have Justa so everythingis going to be ok

Eulalia · 15/05/2009 12:43

Lindso fantastic news!

Linspins, oh your poor dd! Can you send it my way as none of mine have had it, although dd and ds2 have mollescum just now which isn't a pretty sight (fortunately it doesn't seem to go on the face though). Hope she doesn't get too spotty!

Bezzy - yup, my dh is just the same! We never talk about 'it' and he hates the idea of counseling and doesn't even know I post on here about this.

Justa - good luck for Monday.

BB, you OK?
Hi everyone else.

Well yes was kind of having fun yesterday, such a fantastic day just grabbed the moment and took ds2 and dd to the park, I did a lot of running around though. Was so tired later I fell asleep putting ds2 to bed and woke at 11pm. My eldest was still up playing his computer! Arggh! One of these days they'll be old enough to put themselves to bed.

Looking forward to slobbing on the sofa this evening with the kids and a DVD ... and a ahem glass of wine.

xxxx

bezzyk · 15/05/2009 13:06

Acutally Eulalia, we've had progress on 'that' front. I suggested last night that July would be a good time to think about conceiving again as we'd be 3 month after the whole nasty event, and also means that I'll have been taking folic acid for a good couple of months too. Also allows me to enjoy my summer with lots of Pimms

I'm also feeling much better in myself too.

I've learned so much from all of the wise posts on this board, which have definitely helped me to come to this decision.

B x

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 15:30

bezzyk - I'm glad to hear there has been some discussion. What did your lovely man have to say? [If you wnat to say that is]. At anyrate I hope the decision feels comfortable and good luck!

AM holding your cyber hand Justa and wishing the clock round. Hope you're snoozing head deep in Phd.

BB - hope you are ok. How was the meeting?

bezzyk · 15/05/2009 16:52

no major discussion really, I just told him what I told you guys earlier, and he agreed???!!! Not sure if it's going to come back and bite me later though.

DD INSISTED on putting on red polka dot party dress this morn, looks very cute, but fear we may have looked somewhat ridiculous in Tesco just now!

Friday here woo woo woo xxx

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 17:00

Aw bezzyk - I love it when they do that. DD went through a stage of wanting to wear her pumkin outfit everywhere. Now she gets herself dressed and is soo proud of the outfits she...er..mix and matches.

It is great he agreed - maybe another glass of wine and a chat might help you get more reassurance he is fully onside. I only say it cos I know what you mean about worrying about things biting you.

Glad to hear the Friday feeling has struck. Yay!

Where is everyone? Am taking it as a good thing, as foggy days normally brings people here. Must be a sunny clear day, long may they last.

bezzyk · 15/05/2009 17:34

I'm just counting myself lucky that it wasn't the fairy outfit (complete with wand) that she wanted to wear!

It is might quiet.....spooky......as you say, hopefully everyone is in a good place.

I'm lurking around cause weather is grim and don't fancy doing anything / going anywhere!

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 17:41

Me too! Have had [another] pj day as dh is off work with tonsilitis, so he has done school run and I have babymooned with hatts who was had a rough couple of days.

bezzyk · 15/05/2009 17:46

shame, Poor DH, I really can sympathise. I thought I was going to die with tonsillitis a couple of weeks back. I wish i could just get them taken out, but apparently you need to get it 5 times in one year before NHS will consider! I'll be jumping off a bridge before that happens.

Duvet days are the best, we had one yesterday...(and yet the house is still a bombsite)

Is Hatts ok?

I'm looking forward to bedtime, tidy away toys, pour self glass of vino....yum yum yum
