I am unfortunate enough to be one of Jenprick’s constituents. I can’t say we’re friends exactly😬. I went to see him at one of his surgeries to see if he could do anything about the threatened closure of a local charity/service (financial reasons). He refused point blank to listen when we told him we’d tried for X grant but didn’t fall within the catchment - completely dismissed and ignored us.
When he was first elected he promised he’d move himself and family ‘lock stock and barrel’ to his constituency (ha!) but he rarely ventures up here, especially now he’s lost his driving licence for speeding one too many times. The taxpayer rents him a house constituency address to the tune of £2k a month.
Sadly he will probably be voted in again because you could tie a blue ribbon on a baboon and they’d vote for it around here. I believe his local party aren’t keen on him but as the local opposition are so rubbish it’s not looking hopeful that we’ll be able to get rid.
He’s a horrid, doughy little man, with an utter harridan of a wife. She’s a good ten years his senior, incredibly wealthy and definitely wears the trousers. Being an MP is definitely his little side project and he doesn’t do this job to be of any public service.
