I know it's not everyones cup of tea but I don't want this heatwave to end.

The grass is yellow, the plants are wilting but I'm extremely relaxed and happy.

Sunshine is good for my soul

lazarusb · 03/07/2010 17:32

I love it! Long may it last

porcamiseria · 03/07/2010 17:36

THANK GOD its sunny, our flight to sunny climes was cancelled yesterday. bastard easyjet...

so i agree!

MrsC2010 · 03/07/2010 17:36

I love it too! Even though being heavily pregnant it does get a little sticky and my feet are HUGE. I just feel so much more at ease being able to stroll around without thinking about umbrellas and coats.

I do love changing seasons though, so will love being able to use the log burner again in the winter.

myermay · 03/07/2010 17:41

Love it too, it makes me so happy and relaxed. This is what our summer should be like june-sept. I'm sick of hearing people moaning about it, it's summer ffs. But some aren't happy unless they are moaning, snow, rain, sun etc etc

Animation · 03/07/2010 17:46

It's fantastic to be warm all the time after that lousy winter.

ifancyashandy · 03/07/2010 17:59

I bloody loves it! Skimpy clothing, cold drinks, friends, pub gardens, salad-y foods, doors / windows open - it's all good!

And don't mind if it gets hotter too!

(now, if only I could find a way to turn the volume down on the neighbours far too noisy delightful children.... )

kreecherlivesupstairs · 03/07/2010 18:00

I like it up to a point, currently though it is really humid and thundery. I do adore dry heat but the moist sort? bleurgh.

brass · 03/07/2010 18:24

ditto the soul!

BarefootShirl · 03/07/2010 18:25

I love it - have lived in my bikini (or less on the days I have been at home this week. I love the sunshine, the heat, the easy-to-prepare salads (or BBQ by DH) and the fact that it is a perfect excuse to open a bottle of chilled white wine .

Numberfour · 03/07/2010 18:25

makes me happy too, except for the hayfever.

YANBU

I love hot sunny weather and hate the cold so this time of year I am in my element and look at anyone who complains it is too hot wihth annoyance and confusion. (Pg people are allowed to complain about the heat though - I have sypmathy for them only). grin]

5DollarShake · 03/07/2010 18:45

It's wonderful. Each year we have all these expectations of a 'barbecue summer' and everyone lives in hope - and then when it happens, people complain!!

I am 8 months pregnant, and also have mahoosive feet, but I'm still enjoying the sun and heat and all that goes with it.

Alouiseg · 04/07/2010 08:47

It's lovely again this morning. Must be some sort of record being made.

yanbu.

I can still sleep in the heat, still have my winter duvet on actually.

No pushchair raincovers, the washing is drying on the line, don't have to cook 'warming' big meals all the time. We have rosy cheeks .

My water butt is empty but I can muddle through.

If this can continue until september I will be a happy girl.

echt · 04/07/2010 09:21

at this thread. the heating's just kicked in, and I'm typing wearing a big, hairy jumper for the cold of Melbourne.

On the plus side it, it's been sunny, if cold, for much of the day, but I'm gagging for the spring to arrive. The signals are all odd here, camellias in early to mid winter, daffodils soon. Day lilies blooming now in the cold. Arum lilies at their best now. Jasmine will bloom in late winter. Yep, it's really upside down here.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 04/07/2010 09:25

I love it too

Life just seems better when it's sunny and warm.

nikki1978 · 04/07/2010 09:35

I love it too BBQs, afternoons in the garden with the kids splashing in the paddling pool and me reading a book, nice days out.... I love the sun. I do wish I had air con in our bedrooms so it was easier to sleep at night but apart from that no moans here!

DastardlyandSmugly · 04/07/2010 09:37

Yes me too. I feel so much better when the sun is shining.

borderslass · 04/07/2010 10:21

can you send it back here the kids have finished for summer and it's raining now,a sure sign that summers here.
Although the garden needsit badly I was going to dut the grass today but can't.

mozette · 04/07/2010 10:31

absolutely chucking it down in Central Scotland

borderslass · 04/07/2010 10:35

same her it was local festival week finale yesterday and for the first time in years it didn't rain for the ride out, in fact it didn't rain at all.

PurplePillow · 04/07/2010 10:35

You beat me to that post borderlass

Although we had our gala day yesterday and was windy but sunny, it's very wet and windy here today, but most folk won't see much of it as i'm sure they're all nursing huge hangovers!

Hope the sun comes back soon

BuzzingNoise · 04/07/2010 10:35

YANBU. The sunshine has been wonderful for my mood too.
It's really windy today too. Perfect washing weather!
