Well I like it. I hate BB, X Factor, Britain's got Talent. At least there is something decent on the tv for 4 weeks.

Bruxeur - having spent the whole day at a football tournament with my 2 boys, I find your post insulting. We had a wonderful time. All the children played in the spirit of the game and the parents watching were supportive of both sides playing.

I find celebrities and pop stars who can barely sing and earn loads of money much more of a waste of time. At least these men are pretty darn good at what they do.

Aksherley, I also hate reality tv, home makeover shows, dancing on ice, over the rainbow, rugby, cricket, formula one, mushrooms and Heston Blumenthal. I don't save my hatred exclusively for football! All these things are totally pointless!

Ok the question isn't what do you hate then it should be what do you like as it seems you hate most sports.

What do I like, swimming, rowing, gymnastics, anything horse related, figure skating, athletics, basically any sport which doesn't involve men and projectiles!
Last time I checked, cricket, rugby and football weren't 'all sport'!

It's not the football I dislike (I watched the game last night).

It's the blanket coverage by every single media outlet plus marketing company, the acceptance that because men like it (and yes I know women do too, but please, it's a male dominated sport both playing and spectating) it is very very important and we must all bow down before the great god football. (I mean, James Corden's world cup fgs - a fat man talks about football - that's TV?)

I can't think of a single event of interest to mainly women, that has this sort of blanket coverage and celebration. And I think that it is very unhealthy that we still live in a society which marginalises women's interests and events while it over-exposes those of men. And every time a football tournament comes round, I'm reminded of how marginal half the human race are and it irritates me. Not the football per se.

Well Saggy each to their own i like swimming, athletics and gymnastics but i do find that Equestrian, figure skating and rowing boring.

Also there are women football teams even a womens world cup too.
