Having just read the thread about whether or not we should be ok about male nusery workers taking DDs to the toilet I have to say I am completely shocked at the aggressive, bullying comments that the poor OP received. FWIW I agree that we should not discriminate against males working in childcare but think that a lot of the battering comments were frankly out of order! As I read the thread I had that sick feeling that I recognised from my schooldays when I witnessed someone being bullied! I'm new to MN and have found a lot of the info and threads helpful but am so disappointed that, instead of finding a source that I had hoped would be non-judgemental and supportive, I have just connected myself to more of that cynical nastiness that I am so fed-up with on fb and in the media!

Because they don't sweat. We have eyebrows to soak up the sweat and to stop the rain falling in our eyes.

Um, she was the woman who went onto pregnancy and wrote a lovely long wordy post about a woman at her NCT class (She explained what NCT classes were for us, which was nice of her) who had asked her if she was a "kept" woman because she doesn't work.

Anyway - she then wrote a paragraph of teeth-itchingly reason why she was SAH and it contained things like "Why have children if you're going to..." zzzzz. I'm sure you get the picture. Anyway. it's all good, and then it all just went MAD! and she started C&P MSN convos between her and HUBBY and it was just and then she just carried on and on and on, and it was brilliant and just...funny.

(and I got called a genius and wonderful and brilliant. THe thread's gone now though, so you can't look for it and I can't prove it)

womb, we weren't mean. she was so offensive. and she WOULD NOT apologise. and then she kind of did. a bit. and then we started talking about her diabetic husband, and i and others were giving her fab advice re insulin pumps etc.
and then poof. the next morning, i couldn't wait to get back on. GONE, i tell you. poof.
she was probably embarrassed that she had made such a tit of herself.
it was her arrogance and her...... offensive and then lack of grace and stubborness that offended most people.

It descended into utter silliness (a bit like this one really) with some competitive certificate flashing going on (Someone had a swimming certificate, and someone else was proud of their first aid one) It was great fun once LittleAmy left, with her C&P obsession.

And I would just like to say, proud to be part of it. Gets on my nerves it does. Like before the recent party, they listed the best ever threads. And i tell you, I'm not sure I was on one. I remembered hearing about some of them. But always miss the best bits.
