AIBU to be cross with hubby for seeing other women naked in a sauna??

Hi, I am new here. Have lurked for a long time and enjoy reading through lots of threads on mumsnet.

SO, Am I being Unreasonable.

We went on holiday with friends last week and we had a sauna attached to our holiday accomodation. We had a bbq and then our friends went back to their holiday 'home' and I stayed at ours with kiddies who were asleep. Husband asked if he could go with friends to carry on drinking and chatting which I said was fine.

Next day he tells me they had a sauna, thats fine. However, I know here that 2 of the girls that were friends of our friends rather than close friends of ours, were naked.

I'm cross that he stayed, should I be?? Or should I just let it go and accept it?

No, to make it more mysterious and exciting. At our local sauna we wear full rubber body armour to work up a really good sweat.

If he's got any sense he will reassure you that you're way better than anything he saw in there. I would gently say that you're a bit upset, talk about it for a few minutes, have a cuddle and then let it go.

FFS some of you are mental. THere is nothing wrong with naked bodies. If you are this deranged with suspicion about a sauna then you are probably rubbish in bed and frequently dumped by your partners for being hysterically, obsessively jealous to the point of wanting to blindfold them before they leave the house.

Aahh XboxWidow30, I think we all have our bodily hang-ups especially after having children - mother nature is very cruel and everything flies south at a veritable rate of knots!

auburnlizzy78 is right, you need to mention it to him gently and explain that, whilst he hasn't done anything wrong and this is your own worry and hang-up, how would he feel had the situation been reversed? Then have a good cuddle and forget all about it.

I can't see that he has done anything wrong. People being naked in a sauna is hardly shocking. In what way were they flaunting themselves? It wouldn't have occured to me to leave in those circs to protect the feelings of my DH. If they had started suggesting an orgy or wifeswapping type event then I would have left but its quite a leap from sauna to shagging.

This cuddling advice is extraordinarily dull.

You just have to reveal pretty bits of your body and kind of aim it passing men. You also have to get a come here look on your face. Thinking about chocolate or nice shoes can help with that.

YY try it on the blindfold dog first for safety.

Nope it's only really a British/Irish phenomenon. Everyone else can handle a bit of flesh and it's not considered rude at all. It's a saunan you're meant to be naked.

I wouldn't get into a sauna if i had to keep a swimsuit on, it kind of defeats the object.

If someone i was in a sauna with kept their costume on i would assume that they were either a pervert or oblivious to sauna etiquette.

Paggy, I can't think how I would attract attention to a small patch just below my right shoulderblade though. And sadly my face has permanent why-don't-you-just-fuck-off lines etched deeply across it. I fear it's the balaclava and bribery route for me..

Hullygully- The dog's basket is in our downstairs shower room so very often sees me naked. I tend not to flaunt more shimmy, but the dog just tends to look the other way as if saying 'oh, its you again'.

I would be more perterbed about a man immature enough to a toy like an X Box than his wife and family, than man who encounters a human body with no clothes on and manages to be mature enough not to blush, giggle, go 'phwoar, don't get many of those to the pound' or succumb to a sex crazed frenzy.
