To think that Nick Griffin is misunderstood and actually a nice chap?

I heard him being interviewed this morning on the Today programme.

Firstly, it turns out he's not racist or against immigration! Apparently, he says it's ok for French people to come here (there's not that many that want to so its ok). AND he says that Irish people can come here too because they're really all British! So that's nice. I was a bit confused because I thought they'd spent all those years bombing us because they didn't want to be British but I guess I've got that all wrong.

He's not going to let Algerian asylum seekers come though, but I don't think it matters because they'll just get killed where they are in their own country so that won't be a problem for them much longer.

And the best thing is... he's going to give £50,000 to anyone who's not "pure British" to leave the country and go back to where they came from! How cool is that! So I'm now deciding whether to go back to my Great-Grandmother's origins in Russia, or my Great Grandfather's in Finland. Now, apparently this money is going to come from what he called stupid anti-Climate Change projects so although much of Russia and pretty much all of Finland is a bit chilly, as the climate changes because they money is being spent on me, they'll get warmer and I'll be all toasty!

Brilliant!

I'm not a teacher, but I know quite a few.

Some schools are awful, truely awful, I feel really sorry for teachers who are just trying to teach these animals....and animals isn't too strong a word...they aren't at school to learn, they go there to stay out of the cold for a few hours, and while they're there they cause as much trouble as they can....they know teachers can't do a thing...

The BNP would give power back to teachers, and any child who was giving a teacher a really hard time would be kicked out and not allowed back. These pain in the arse kids ruin it for everyone, the teachers and the well behaved pupils....

Laquitar · 29/04/2010 19:30

50K per family or per person? If it is per person, i'm getting 250K. And a nice suntan too .

You know those threads 'my neighbour is on benefits and she is pregnant again to get more benefits'?
Well, the new trend will be 'my Polish neighbour was buying Ovalution Kit today at tesco. I bet they are trying to get extra 50K before they leave. AIBU to think this is unethical?'

cornsilk · 29/04/2010 19:42

What exactly would the BNP do then daftpunk?
Allow teachers to smack them?

posieparker · 29/04/2010 19:43

I like teachers but not enough to vote for the 'racists'.

Thanks Shroeder...

WombFrootShoot · 29/04/2010 19:45

But only if they were white British for 100 generations teachers...right kids?

OK so dp

a signoificant % of excluded pupi;s have sn

So (and I ask this often) the best place to start is witrh SN policies that work

What is the BNP SN policy please? In detail.

Quite apart from the sickening reference to children as animals, what would the BNP do to actually stop the situation developing?

Or would I be stuck with ds1 at home because he struggles in school and well you have to get the anials out

posieparker · 29/04/2010 19:52

To be fair to DP, wonders never cease, I do agree that some children are pretty horrific. Although I taught a long time ago I can't imagine it's improved. Some of the boys wanted to be drug dealers when they left school, they carried knives, tools and drugs into school. They would try to intimidate teachers walking down the corridor....

cornsilk · 29/04/2010 19:53

SanctiMoanyArse - good post
The lamb enquiry states that children with SEN are 8 times more likely to be excluded than children without SEN.

daftpunk · 29/04/2010 19:54

The BNP will restore discipline in the classroom and give power back to the teachers.....what's wrong with that..?

BNP policy on Education

Why deal with issues when it is too late when decent input stops them altogether? Where is the common sense the bnp love so much in that?

Of course the BNP website has no SN policies of note

So anyone.... racxist.... mysogynist.... no interest in the exiostence of disability...

anyone on my wavelength here?

SanctiMoanyArse · 29/04/2010 19:59

Dp I don't want the policy on education I can access their manifesto

I want to know about disability discrimination, inclusion, long term support, housing for people with SN, work scgemes....

???

ImSoNotTelling · 29/04/2010 20:07

DP their education policy includes the reintroduction of corporal punishment.

I see what your views are on pupils/schools etc.

I can understand that you think that there is a problem with a lack of respect from some quarters towards authority.

But do you really believe that beating children is the answer to this problem?

You don't think that might cause more problems than it solves.

Plus the small matter that "fear" is not the same as "respect".

Do you agree with people beating animals? You compare children to animals and say you support BNP policies - or would you rather see a child beaten than an animal?

EricNorthmansmistress · 29/04/2010 20:07
  • The restoration of discipline ? including corporal punishment ? uniforms, traditional teaching methods and stricter exams (e.g. ?0′ levels);

corporal punishment? No Fucking way

  • The reintroduction of grammar schools with entrance exams at 11 and 13;

create more division between social and economic backgrounds

  • The reversal of the programme to close special needs schools which penalises the most vulnerable;

fair dos - but what is this programme? Does it exist?

  • The reintroduction of competitive sports and daily Christian assemblies;

competative sports are already part of the curriculum and Christian assemblies? Most white british people are not practising christian, many white british people are actively other faiths

  • The teaching of old-fashioned literacy skills (as opposed to clearly failed ?modern? teaching methods);

what does this mean?

  • The teaching of old-fashioned mathematics skills which have practical application to everyday life;

likewise....

  • The teaching of a full curriculum of British history. This will instil in our young people knowledge of and pride in the history, cultures and heritage of the native peoples of Britain, and not the cherry-picked politically correct drivel being fed to children today;

British history is already taught in schools as part of the NC

  • The abolition of fees and the restoration of full grants to university students studying proper subjects (as opposed to fake ?social sciences?);

where will the funding for this come from? This would be a massively expensive project.

  • The improvement of school food as proper meals have been shown to be linked to behaviour and achievement;

can't argue there

  • The ending of the scandalous and racist neglect that has left working class white boys at the bottom of the table for academic achievement;
  • The introduction of tax breaks for home-schooling parents or direct subsidies as their fair share of the education budget;

why???

  • The introduction of a compulsory Community Award Scheme for all school-leavers to teach them work ethics and social and community values. This would consist of work caring for the elderly or handicapped (my highlighting) people, or environmental or heritage restoration projects, or military training. These courses would be character-building and instil discipline, social and community values and work ethics in all young people. Service in this scheme would entitle each individual to get ?something back? from the society to which they have learnt to contribute, such as free university education, a properly supported apprenticeship, or business training and start-up capital for would-be entrepreneurs.

I can't argue with the principle - but would not support military training as part of it. I do not believe that learning military ethics is necessarily conducive to social cohesion. However the reality under the BNP would be that the 'social and community values' would not be the values that I want my children to be instilled with.

ImSoNotTelling · 29/04/2010 20:08

Let's be clear here we are talking about all schoolchildren ie age 4 upwards - exactly as in previous generations.

These 4yo can be real brutes.

daftpunk · 29/04/2010 20:08

The BNP wont mess about with anyone who make teachers lives a misery, doesn't matter what colour they are, (they are well aware that some white people are out of control)...FGS, we have a situation now where 4 yr olds are getting expelled from nursery....there's no discipline in the home, in the schools...anywhere..
All this SureStart crap is a total waste of time and money... some people need controlling, and dealt with properly.

thecatatemygymsuit · 29/04/2010 20:09

rofl @ Daftpunk 'I'm not a teacher'.
Quelle surprise. I would have thought that was self-evident.
So odd that you 'know quite a few' teachers though, and they apparently teach feral animals. In your massive house in leafy suburbia, yet all these atrocious schools on your doorstep? really?
Something doesn't add up about your extreme racism and fascism. Usually this kind of victim mentality stems from massive insecurity, about being the lowest of the low of the white uneducated underclass, believing that all 'foreigners' are taking our jobs/council houses/building mosques, whatever. But what is your beef? How does this affect you in your ivory tower? Why so threatened?
I think you are a construct and really live at 22 Shit Street (© Viz). Just a guess though.

WombFrootShoot · 29/04/2010 20:10
daftpunk · 29/04/2010 20:11

I think the BNP want SN children to have their own schools.

ImSoNotTelling · 29/04/2010 20:11

"- The introduction of tax breaks for home-schooling parents or direct subsidies as their fair share of the education budget;

why???"

The BNP are for women staying at home and bringing up children - they prefer a very traditional model of the family unit.

If they reintroduced corporal punishment, an effect would be that a lot of people would immediately remove their chidren from school. then mummy has to give up work (and
lets face it, it would be mummy) to home school, and the BNP further incentivise thir route. To get the women back into the home.

looks like basic social engineering to me.

ImSoNotTelling · 29/04/2010 20:12

DP do I take that as a confirmation that you are fully in favour of beatings for 4yo?

daftpunk · 29/04/2010 20:13

I live about 20 minutes from central London (by train)

RunawayWife · 29/04/2010 20:14
