To think that Nick Griffin is misunderstood and actually a nice chap?

I heard him being interviewed this morning on the Today programme.

Firstly, it turns out he's not racist or against immigration! Apparently, he says it's ok for French people to come here (there's not that many that want to so its ok). AND he says that Irish people can come here too because they're really all British! So that's nice. I was a bit confused because I thought they'd spent all those years bombing us because they didn't want to be British but I guess I've got that all wrong.

He's not going to let Algerian asylum seekers come though, but I don't think it matters because they'll just get killed where they are in their own country so that won't be a problem for them much longer.

And the best thing is... he's going to give £50,000 to anyone who's not "pure British" to leave the country and go back to where they came from! How cool is that! So I'm now deciding whether to go back to my Great-Grandmother's origins in Russia, or my Great Grandfather's in Finland. Now, apparently this money is going to come from what he called stupid anti-Climate Change projects so although much of Russia and pretty much all of Finland is a bit chilly, as the climate changes because they money is being spent on me, they'll get warmer and I'll be all toasty!

Brilliant!

No you didn't.

You skirted around it for ages saying things like "The BNP will restore discipline in the classroom and give power back to the teachers" and generally not giving a straight answer.

Eventually after a lot of pressing you said:

"No, I am not in favour of hitting 4 yr olds, but out of control children should be removed from mainstream education so teachers can do their job...the way things are atm they are doing two jobs..teaching and social work....it's not fair on teachers."

which I took to mean that you were not in favour of the reintroduction of corporal punishment.

So which is it. Yes or no.

RunawayWife · 02/05/2010 15:46

I am not judging you for that, I would most likely have felt the same, because I am not a strong person and I would not think I would cope...However DS1 has SN and I cope, my mother is an amputee and I cope.

What if a child you had suddenly became disabled, would you shut them away, be ashamed?

I am trying really hard to understand why you are so angry with the world, why you think that this political party have the answers?

I have met bad and good people of all races and ability's, you judge a person on their actions not a whole group on the actions of one person.

You do realizes that in a country run by Nick Griffin you would be a 2nd class person with very few rights don't you? Why would you support someone who would not let you vote, think it was ok if a man raped you?
I really do not see why

SanctiMoanyArse · 02/05/2010 15:59

I ahve no issues with someone who chooses to terminate though would not myself (disdclaimer: 2 chdilren with Sn, I really do know of what I am tlaking)

I have issues with a self professed catholic who would terminate; I have issues with selective party following; I have issues with anyone who would kill a disbaled child; my child

DP, by crying that people don't respect catholics and youa r epicked on as one yet supporting terminations you are a hypocrite

By supporting a party that has members making such proclamations you at nest naive and at worst a fucking nazi

Think on the message that every pro BNP vote gives the ahrdcore.

Then when you make the call to vote for them relaoise what you are really voting for, including murdering disabled children.

Think how ironic it will be that a party claiming they love the Bristoish will eb forced to become refugees if they ahve a disabled child

Revolting

StrictlyKatty · 02/05/2010 16:04

I would just like to point out the Pope's cousin had Down's and was murdered by the Nazi's. He has talked personally about how horrific it was.

Abortion is never an option for Catholics. Neither is any form of removing disabled people from society. The Catholic church teaches you to care for the weakest members of society, certainly not kill them!

daftpunk · 02/05/2010 16:45

Imsonottelling;

I said I didn't want C/P for 4 yr olds...

yr 5 upwards I would have no problem with it.

Re; catholics & abortion.

My church has a poster on the wall, it's a poster giving the telephone number for abortion counselling for cathoilcs who have had terminations.

The catholic church are aware that some women will seek an abortion for various reasons...they understand and try to support them.

noddyholder · 02/05/2010 16:46

DP again at your selective catholicism! You are a bloody disgrace and I am now sure you are here as a pure wind up as you have no compassion to any section of society apart from her own little world

I live in the real world...in a world where "shock horror"..some catholics will have an abortion....I don't think they should go to hell for that...I am the compassionate one

SanctiMoanyArse · 02/05/2010 16:51

Thjere is a huge difference dp between jelping people in post event trauma and advocating the same route

Unless you're not clear on the RC stance on terminations, esp.for married people?

You vote forthem and by some unthinkable awfulness they get in then you will be giving them the mandate to enact these horrors

I couldn't knowingly share room spce with a person holding such views; let alone consider affilliating myself to them.

BitOfFun · 02/05/2010 16:52

So you are an activist for a party that would murder disabled children.

The abortion issue is a complete red herring.

Answer a straight question. Are you happy to support a party that would murder my daughter?

Actually, no need to answer that. That disgusts me. I don't know how you can live with yourself.

2shoes · 02/05/2010 16:55

sorry but compassionate!!!!!!!
words fail me, no one who supports what the BNP stand for could ever be descibed as that.

Kaloki · 02/05/2010 16:56

DP we aren't arguing against abortion here, we are arguing against disabled people being less worthy of life.

Do you think disabled people shouldn't be allowed to live?

daftpunk · 02/05/2010 16:59

Where is the BNP policy on murdering disabled children ?.....can someone link it to me please....I dont think disabled children (once they are born) should be killed...where have I ever said that..?

I am just pro-choice for all women.

I understand that life doesn't always go to some fucking master plan...some catholic women will need an abortion and I think they should be supported....not hated...that is me being christian...

Kaloki · 02/05/2010 17:04

DP - it has previously been linked to in the thread (a couple of times) that BNP representatives believe disabled children are better off dead.

daftpunk · 02/05/2010 17:08

That is one persons opinion, it is not BNP policy...and I have said I don't agree with him.

eatsushi · 02/05/2010 17:09

DP don't you think it is a bit rich of you to ask questions - when you so often fail to answer any questions put to you.

You have mentioned that you have 4 children - do you take them to BNP youth camps??

Kaloki · 02/05/2010 17:10

How about mixed raced kids then DP? They are apparently not british enough by BNP standards and obviously can't go back to their country, where does the BNP stand on that? And how about you, can you support a party that rates the life of one child as less than that of another?

noddyholder · 02/05/2010 17:11

DP for a BNP member and supporter you are woefully ignorant on their policies on most things and where you ask for links you show your ignorance. You should be providing links to show what you are talking about not asking for them.

daftpunk · 02/05/2010 17:12

Nope...dd1 is training to be a teacher...she is a massive Labour supporter...my kids have their own minds

BitOfFun · 02/05/2010 17:13

That is the thinking of the BNP representatives. That is who they are. And you want people to vote for them? You come on here and try to build support for Nazis who want to see some of our children dead and anyone else they don't like rounded up and gassed. Or did that not really happen either? That's another thing about the BNP. They deny the holocaust ever happened.

Because they want to to forget. So it will be easier to do it again.

And you are an apologist for these people? Unfuckingbelievable.

Kaloki · 02/05/2010 17:13

Thank god for that..

eatsushi · 02/05/2010 17:18

What do your kids think about you supporting the bnp?

What does your priest think about you supporting the bnp?

What about your friends?

RunawayWife · 02/05/2010 17:19

I am also pro choice for all women DP and that means if a woman decides to continue with a pregnancy or terminate a pregnancy of a child disabled or not it is her choice, not that of a political party.

daftpunk · 02/05/2010 17:21

The BNP will never run this country...everyone knows that...so all this talk about killing disabled children is total bollox...they'll be lucky if the win a few councils......but I think it's important for democracy to have them around.....that is what I have always said.

BitOfFun · 02/05/2010 17:23

You are an apologist for Nazis.

We need to elect Nazis for the good of our democracy? Jesus Christ- listen to yourself.
