I heard him being interviewed this morning on the Today programme.

Firstly, it turns out he's not racist or against immigration! Apparently, he says it's ok for French people to come here (there's not that many that want to so its ok). AND he says that Irish people can come here too because they're really all British! So that's nice. I was a bit confused because I thought they'd spent all those years bombing us because they didn't want to be British but I guess I've got that all wrong.

He's not going to let Algerian asylum seekers come though, but I don't think it matters because they'll just get killed where they are in their own country so that won't be a problem for them much longer.

And the best thing is... he's going to give £50,000 to anyone who's not "pure British" to leave the country and go back to where they came from! How cool is that! So I'm now deciding whether to go back to my Great-Grandmother's origins in Russia, or my Great Grandfather's in Finland. Now, apparently this money is going to come from what he called stupid anti-Climate Change projects so although much of Russia and pretty much all of Finland is a bit chilly, as the climate changes because they money is being spent on me, they'll get warmer and I'll be all toasty!

I actually remember reading an article ( I cannot remember where or which paper or any of the facts as reported) about a member of the BNP raping a 6 year old girl. He was at that time one of the leading members of the BNP.

exactly kaloki... and it also sounds like it is an absolute truth.. yes there are communities/areas where there are people of a particular ethnicity or religion etc can be seen to 'stick together' but that is not true of every jew/muslim especially more secular ones.

'stick to your own kind' is actually one of the most offensive things i've read on here...

Luluman, something in particular struck me with your recent argument to DP - re sexuality and faith... all Muslims hope their children are heterosexual, and that their daughters marry only Muslims (as is the requirement on their faith). To be fair to daftpunk she's not (for once) asking for the absurd.

I know a lot of mixed race/religion couples, and they all get on fine. It happens DP, and it works well, whether you agree or not.

This isn't actually you commenting on what you prefer for yourself, it's you saying how others should be! And that is offensive, of course, you can't see that because you're mad.

Put it another way, would you be offended if someone told you that you couldn't marry who you wanted because of some totally irrational feeling they had? Say for example you had different colour hair or eyes to your husband.

Would you agree with it?

And if the also suggested that your marriage was somehow freakish/unnatural, would you be offended?

DP I was paraphrasing a famous Not the Nine o Clock news sketch which I think is quite apposite to the whole BNP situation where a person who thinks he is superior is actually shown to be ill informed and pompous.

Ok.....What I said about mixed marriages...

When I met my dh I had no idea his grandfather was black....you would never know...iykwim.....When I was getting to know him it never entered my head to ask him what colour his grandfather was.....mad of me I know....all I knew was that his father had left his mother when he was 4...(my parents wern't happy that he was from a "broken home" but that's another story)....I didn't really question him much about his family....I was only 17.

His grandfather was black...he married a white woman, they had children...they married white people....what more do you want me to say..?

I am the one from the strong catholic family, every single person in my family is white, (apart from one of my cousins who married a sri-lankan 25 yrs ago...they are still talking about that back in Ireland)...My dh has gone along with my religion and has never really questioned any of my views...probably because he thinks kinda like me.....he wants out dc to be hetrosexual, he wants them to marry white christians...he knows I support the BNP...he doesn't really...although he agrees with alot of what NG says.
