To think that Nick Griffin is misunderstood and actually a nice chap?

I heard him being interviewed this morning on the Today programme.

Firstly, it turns out he's not racist or against immigration! Apparently, he says it's ok for French people to come here (there's not that many that want to so its ok). AND he says that Irish people can come here too because they're really all British! So that's nice. I was a bit confused because I thought they'd spent all those years bombing us because they didn't want to be British but I guess I've got that all wrong.

He's not going to let Algerian asylum seekers come though, but I don't think it matters because they'll just get killed where they are in their own country so that won't be a problem for them much longer.

And the best thing is... he's going to give £50,000 to anyone who's not "pure British" to leave the country and go back to where they came from! How cool is that! So I'm now deciding whether to go back to my Great-Grandmother's origins in Russia, or my Great Grandfather's in Finland. Now, apparently this money is going to come from what he called stupid anti-Climate Change projects so although much of Russia and pretty much all of Finland is a bit chilly, as the climate changes because they money is being spent on me, they'll get warmer and I'll be all toasty!

Brilliant!

"I am not sexually attracted to black men...so yes, I would turn him down"

Fine. How about the other questions?

Kaloki · 30/04/2010 22:51

noddyholder My vote is on the latter. Till she can prove otherwise by answering my questions in a way that doesn't sound deranged.

would you refuse black/muslim health practitioners,SW,teachers

daftpunk · 30/04/2010 23:02

Of course I mixed with black people...I was brought up in Brixton, probably one of the most diverse areas in the country....most families were mixed race....I spent all my life around black people...

This has nothing to do with my personal life, my sexual preferences, my dh's grandfather, this is about me and my political views.....I am my own person.

ok thanks for answer.i still dont get it.so black/muslim hcp - accept or decline

runnybottom · 30/04/2010 23:08

what do you think politics is about then? Its about people and their lives. Do you think its all just a theoretical exercise?

You're not worth the effort. We can relax in the knowledge that you in a minority of freaks and losers and your beloved won't ever get anywhere near any power.

daftpunk · 30/04/2010 23:09

Black/muslim hcp....no problem....my m/w for ds2 was black...fantastic person.

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 30/04/2010 23:10

"This has nothing to do with my dh or my dc....where my dh's family are from is of no concern to anyone on MN....."

And yet you happily campaign for a party with a massive interest in where everyone's family is from, with a view to deporting them if they don't like the answer!?

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 30/04/2010 23:11

runnybottom, it's not true the BNP will never get near power; why, DP was just about to give us a list of all the councils they run. Weren't you?

scottishmummy · 30/04/2010 23:12

what if bnp deported your fantastic black mw

Kaloki · 30/04/2010 23:13

"I don't think mixed marriages should be encouraged....always best to stick to your own kind..imo"

This isn't actually you commenting on what you prefer for yourself, it's you saying how others should be! And that is offensive, of course, you can't see that because you're mad.

Put it another way, would you be offended if someone told you that you couldn't marry who you wanted because of some totally irrational feeling they had? Say for example you had different colour hair or eyes to your husband.

Would you agree with it?

And if the also suggested that your marriage was somehow freakish/unnatural, would you be offended?

daftpunk · 30/04/2010 23:15

Heathern;

That was a typo...you know what I meant about BNP councillors.

dp you acknowledge black mw was v.good how does that sit with bnp values.dp you see a mismatch

Lulumaam · 30/04/2010 23:21

how are mixed marriages encouarged..? stick to your own kind?? you sound like someone who would have supported Apartheid.

what happens if one of your children is gay? or marries someone jewish/muslim/buddhist? or black? or chinese?

i think 'stick to your own kind comment shows you up as the true racist you are

when you beleive we are not all the same.. that how much we value or approve of someone can be based on whether they look the same

shame on you

RedBlueRed · 30/04/2010 23:27

LOL excellent OP!

When I first moved to england (13 years ago)and became aware of the BNP I did a little research. I had previously been a member of the SNP and wondered if it was along the same principles...Oh Ho Ho.

The more investigation I did, the more I discovered about gang rape, violent crime and theft: criminal records of leading members of the party.

Now regardless of their policies, the toning down of their racist and facist opinions, I have real and serious objection to my neighbours, ds' teachers and the local police supporting a 'cabinet' with that kind of criminal record.

I mean parking tickets, speeding fines and expenses fraud is one thing but gang rape? What does that say about their perception of right and wrong?

No. Not to be trusted. I don't even think the party should be legal.

daftpunk · 30/04/2010 23:31

SM;

I have said that this country wouldn't survive without immigrants, my parents were immigrants once, the health service would collapse without black and Asian doctors/nurses...they have contributed to this country and have my total admiration and respect.

The BNP have support from ethnic minority groups....they have support from people who feel they have nowhere else to turn....people feel ignored...you heard GB...that's the view of the Labour party, anyone who mentions immigration is a bigot, where do people go politically when they know they are being ignored..?

(sorry for typos...watching Pelham 123)

scottishmummy · 30/04/2010 23:32

cain,i dont get your post what are you trying to say

Lulumaam · 30/04/2010 23:36

are you going to answer my question? i doubt it, you usually ignore me

RedBlueRed · 30/04/2010 23:38

SM I'm saying that NG is a nasty piece of work and his party are criminal freaks.

When I was very young and 'political' I was a member of the Scottish Nationalist Party at that time I hadn't heard of the BNP.

When I moved south I wondered if the other side of the coin was the BNP.

It is NOT in no way, shape or form anything like the SNP.

Abolutely not.

Sorry for not being clear on that.
