That's a lot

tryingtobemarrypoppins2 · 12/04/2010 20:59

Well I am in a two bed flat. Me and DH both work full time so really only in evenings and weekends and we pay around £80 per month (more in the winter obviously).

differentID · 12/04/2010 21:01

that's what ours was this quarter. £310 for both gas and electricity.

ilovetochat · 12/04/2010 21:01

3 bed semi, £50pm.

tryingtobemarrypoppins2 · 12/04/2010 21:02

ilovetochat for both? Or is that each?

£100 per month for a two bed flat, electric only, no central heating, DH works from home, two adults no kids.

Meglet · 12/04/2010 21:06

3 bed terrace £100. Me and 2 toddlers so huge amount of washing thanks to potty training / food mess etc, I work p/t so out the house on some days.

I do feel the cold though and we need the radiators and tumble dryer to get clothes dry on wet / cold days. So that's 90% of the year in this country .

jobhuntersrus · 12/04/2010 21:09

for us £60 electric and same again on gas so £120 month. For 3 bed semi. We are in credit at the moment though so tempted to reduce the payments a bit.

tartyhighheels · 12/04/2010 21:13

3 bed semi for elec and gas is £117 - 5 of us, lots of washing, dishwasher and massive tumble dryer addiction

benotafraid · 12/04/2010 21:13

£20 a week gas
£10 a week electricity.

It's more in winter though, stupid pre-paymnet meter!

We are trying to get around to changing it to direct debit but we need to find out about charges for changing the meter.

MrsJohnDeere · 12/04/2010 21:13

£60 per month for electricity (includes cooking). 3 bed semi, people home most of the day.

No gas but approx £900 per annum on oil for heating.

EricNorthmansmistress · 12/04/2010 21:20

Winter = £100 a month, electric only. Summer more like £60.

mummychicken · 12/04/2010 21:24

benotafraid we moved into a house with a pre-pay meter and there was no charge to get it removed. Not sure if that was because we moved in and the pre-pay was nothing to do with us.

Bill is about £100 per month for duel fuel in a 4 bed semi. We are often in credit. I NEVER use the tumble drier and will put a jumper on rather than turning up the heat.

hf128219 · 12/04/2010 21:24

£325 a month for gas and elec

pinkheart · 12/04/2010 21:25

£112 for 2 bed terrace and weve only had one storage heater working scince october! just had gas put on but wont be fully in use till autum. I dont under stand how come mine is so much as weve been freezing all blooming winter.( i do have coal fire but by the time i get in from work i cant be arsed to build it, light it then worry about it when i go to bed as its not completly out.

EricNorthmansmistress · 12/04/2010 21:27

Oh yes 2 bed flat, 2 adults, one small person

laloue · 12/04/2010 21:28

£97 a month, electricity only, 2 bed' flat, only heat lounge, no kids, both work full time , not in during day, crumby storage heaters. Don't know where it goes! Spend life turning EVERYTHING off to try and get back in credit. Can't change supplier as only renting. :-(

About £90-100 for gas and electric together, no tumble drier but lots of washing, 2 toddlers in cloth nappies and grubby husband. On the plus side, eldest has just potty trained herself so hoping the washing will reduce a bit.

We have the heating on a lot as home lots during the day.

moaningminniewhingesagain · 12/04/2010 21:34

Oh thats a small 2 bed semi BTW

chachachachacha · 12/04/2010 21:39

£85 per month for both in a 2 bed semi.

choosyfloosy · 12/04/2010 21:42

£24 a month electricity, erm I think £30 a month gas. 2 bed terrace.

hf128219 · 12/04/2010 21:44

I have one of those 'Energy Smart' readers from British Gas for the electricity. We spend £5 a day on electricity alone - and we are careful.
