2 bed teeny tiny semi £37 a month for both
Im a sahm, tv on from breakfast to bedtime, washer on everyday, pc often on.
through the winter i was paying £60 a month for both got a bill after 5 months and i was £90 in credit in total yey! They reduced payments to £37 a month for both but i expect that may not be enough to cover it even with credit but taking advantage of savings each month for time being.
Used to use tumble dryer for 1-2 hours a day but made it a new years resolution 2009 to stop so only used it a handful number of times in the past year. TBH it was starting to work badly taking 2 hours to dry what used to take 45 minutes. The rest has done it good as now i only use it occasionally but once again it only takes 45 minutes to dry a load.
If the weather is good it gets pegged out, if its bad the heating is usually on so put it on radiators and anything that doesnt crease and therefore needs no ironing get puts on hangers and hang on curtain poles upstairs to catch the hot air as it rises.
I used to love the simplicity of chucking it from washer to dryer and the lack of ironing required as well but the biggest motivation for me is the fact the dryer used to shrink a lot of dd clothes meaning i had to buy her new ones more often as well as pay to run the thing.
My philosophy ladies...If its on we're paying for it!
