under this thread until your punishments have been determined. You have all been very naughty boys.

(if your not banned that is)

I love b3ta.

SomewhatThere · 31/03/2010 19:13

" I don't believe I've ever met an IT bloke who looked as though he ironed. Mind you, maybe contractors have to be smarter than permanent staff. "

You might think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

Hopefully, the dear sweet and terribly clever admins will let this id linger a little longer than my last two incarnations. Looks like a few of the justgiving fundraisers have benefitted anyway!

elliemental · 31/03/2010 19:13

i wish i'd been here. my DH is an IT bloke...we don't iron. But he has been known to change his underpants. He lost his virginity BEFORE he became an IT bloke, mercifully.

GrimmaTheNome · 31/03/2010 19:15

On second thoughts, there's probably a subclass of IT blokes who do iron.

But only their jeans.

SomewhatThere · 31/03/2010 19:17

My DW does the ironing...

GrimmaTheNome · 31/03/2010 19:21

That's probably just as well. An IT bloke worrying about the appearance of his clothes violates some natural law.

ABetaDad · 31/03/2010 19:22

*SomewhatThere - careful now. You'll get drawn in and be a regular soon.

I only came to look at the education threads last February and am still tryng to get out.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 31/03/2010 19:22

I suspect they've put me in the 'up their own arses' group - in the humourless old bag' subset.

And my dh does the ironing.

GrimmaTheNome · 31/03/2010 19:23

Is he in IT though?

SomewhatThere · 31/03/2010 19:24

An IT bloke worrying about the appearance of his clothes violates some natural law.

There are gay IT blokes you know. Me, I'm married of twenty years with three kids (youngest 12, oldest 18). Though I think I'll pop over to one of the other topics and ask a serious question that's been bugging me over the birth of our first.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 31/03/2010 19:27

No, Grimma - he's an engineer. I was just gloating.

GrimmaTheNome · 31/03/2010 19:27

Got me there, yes gay IT blokes may be smart. I don't think I've actually met one but similar rule applies to scientists.

GrimmaTheNome · 31/03/2010 19:29

You can trust an engineer (non-software) with an iron. The best ironers are of course in the military.

coldtits · 31/03/2010 19:30

SomewhatThere, was it to do with the diamorphine your wife got given whilst in labour, perchance?

SomewhatThere · 31/03/2010 19:31

Indeed. I've posted the question now.

SomewhatThere · 31/03/2010 19:32

Anyway... despite working in IT, I do have a full and rich real life, so, without wishing to disrespect in anyway - I've got more important things to do that post here!

CUKAmbassador · 31/03/2010 19:34

Gay men in IT. I think not!

Rough, tough, hardy , muscular, slightly unshaved, perfect 2020 vision and model good looks.

Well thats me, not sure about the rest!

CUKAmbassador · 31/03/2010 19:34

SWT.

No flouncing!

elliemental · 31/03/2010 19:36

flouncier than a hippo on a trampoline wearing a wedding dress, those COK dudes...

Lizzylou · 31/03/2010 19:39

My DH is an IT Geek (in a permanent post though), he would never have worn a Marillion T-Shirt.

I just can't get past MN being violated by someone who likes Marillion.

Sorry

CUKAmbassador · 31/03/2010 19:40

Rightio. Good night ladies, gentlemen pretending to be ladies, gentlemen pretending to be interested in ladies & Cukkers tending to be anything but Cukkers.

This trip has cost us a fortune in sponsoring.

Good luck with all of your charity do's.

I'm off to the pub and leaving my DW to look after the DCs.

Bye

GrimmaTheNome · 31/03/2010 19:43

Off you trot. Don't fall off your bike on the way home (most IT blokes cycle everywhere don't they?)

fruitloafrocks · 31/03/2010 20:03

I'm gutted, only started MNing 2 days ago, was PMSL at all the CUK posts, I thought it was always like this [disappointed]

ShinyAndNew · 31/03/2010 20:08

fruitloafrocks it is always like this. Though MNetter trolls are the far, better and funnier, for example "help I have eaten the hamster" (see classics)
