DS has Soap MacTavish night vision goggles. I have just looked up soap MacTavish and he looks a bit like the father of Quinn's baby in Glee. Maybe that is the appeal of these computer games, or maybe not as perhaps he is wearing protective headgear in the battles and his handsome face is obscured.

I think that since many kids this age detest transitions, it helps to address his reluctance to get changed or leave home.

Say something like, "I know you don't want to take off your pj's ? they're so comfy. Here, can you please hold your book while I help you put on your pants?" This way you've empathised with himand then used a fun distraction to get the job done.

gibbon, if you posted a thread about your horrible day, you would get shedloads of support, as you well know

but making snippy comments on a completely unrelated topic, and expecting people to mind read that you are having a horrific day is actually rather passive-aggressive

now I really am sorry about your day

well, lets agree to disagree then!!!!!!

I love that phrase.....

catinthehat2 · 23/03/2010 16:54

I tell you what, it's jolly exhausting being a convincing fount of all knowledge on gaming, child rearing etc.

There's only so much Googling and rewriting anwers that I can cope with.

I dread the moment when I accidentally combine the 2

Lulumaam · 23/03/2010 16:54

LIke this:

I think that since many kids this age detest transitions, it helps to address his reluctance to get changed or leave home.

Say something like, "I know you don't want to take off your pj's ? they're so comfy. Here, can you please hold my leopard while I help you put on your AK47?" This way you've empathised with himand then used a fun distraction to get the job done

AnyFucker · 23/03/2010 16:55

'Could you let me know how to bring on labour in a way that doesn't involve:

  1. Sex
  2. Pineapple
  3. Spicy food
  4. Raspberry leaf
  5. Walking
  6. Castor Oil
  7. Actual induction

Evening primrose Oil: you take one and pop one up tehre morning and night

workjed a treat to finally shift ds4 but you have to be careful that it hasnt been mixed with nasties- Lloyds own brand is cheap and fine. It's often used for PMT as well.

WhoIsAsking · 23/03/2010 17:01

She doesn't have any Clrissimo.

It's back to the mindless sex for Morloth I'm afraid.

Clarissimo · 23/03/2010 17:01

(and as Riven says, with sight issues I am afraid I cannot read OP. I won't take the piss as its mean, just not read beyond title)
