For the love of all things good on this earth.

Fucking hell.

I fell.
I fell over on the road outside school.
flat on my fucking face, on my face.

Tripped over ds fecking scooter and fell, scraped my face all over the pavement, grazed my knee (like you do when you are 6)

So AIBU to never go to the school again? I could change ds out of that school as health & safety clearly is not a priotity to them, if they allow grown women to actually fall on their pavement outside school....

am a foolish fuckwit and feel like i have died a thousand deaths, blushing from my knickers up....
sigh.

Can you match that for embarrasment?

You should have remembered Mr T's lessons...
Style it out

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 22/03/2010 09:22

I feel your pain M&P, I fell in a trench of mud, with a plate of biscuits when we had 3 men working on the back garden, they tried not to laugh, but I knew they were, I knew it!

Are you from oop north?

I'm from Lancs originally, just ask because of your name, have taught DH, (a southerner) how to make it, and it's as good as mine!

gingernutlover · 22/03/2010 09:23

ah you poor thing, did anyone help you?

Sounds liek something I would do, can you do the school run in disguise?

meatntattypie · 22/03/2010 09:23

am from Lancashire myself but obviously after this fall i shall be moving to Australia.........

meatntattypie · 22/03/2010 09:25

Dont think any one saw me......didnt want help, jusmped up stylishly and power walked home.....

OP posts:
gingernutlover · 22/03/2010 09:27

well, there you go ... it was simply a special stretch to ensure you were ready for the power walk!

nickschick · 22/03/2010 09:28

meatntattypie, its ok nobody will even remember it its not as though the teachers will be laughing about it in the staff room today or the other mummies will chat about it at playtime, far far worse things happen....

But there is to be no more medicinal whisky in your morning coffee and that last bit of merlot you slurped before the kettle boil this morning obviously has had an effect.

You go back to school head held high.

Now do you want a mr bump plaster or a little miss mischief?

.

meatntattypie · 22/03/2010 09:29

LOL "special stretch" love it. I wish that you were with me ginger, you would have joined me rolling round the road with a scooter stuck up my arse and you would tell every one we were "working out".

OP posts:
TheGashlycrumbTinies · 22/03/2010 09:30

Do you not use the scooter to get back home? I see lots of parent round here scooting back.

Now your back have a glass of juice, put a wet cloth over your knee, and have a quiet sit down with a book.

Works for DD's, but they are 7 & 4.

OrmRenewed · 22/03/2010 09:30

Ohhh poor you!

And it hurts more when you are grown up too.

MrsVik · 22/03/2010 09:31

This has cheered me up after the spider thread.

I went to get my hair done in Glasgow when I lived there - got hightlights for the first (and last) time ever. Was feeling good about myself, looking pretty damned fantastic in my knee highs, black tights, skirt and new top and my new hightlights. Stutting walking home with a posh coffee, the heel of my boots caught in the curb and I fell, arms flailing, into the road. Massive hole in my tights, broken heel and coffee all over my top. And my hair was a mess.

Frak.

Pride really does come before a fall.

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 22/03/2010 09:31

Gah ! you're, must preview.

meatntattypie · 22/03/2010 09:32

MrsVik · 22/03/2010 09:34

meatantattypie - go to parent's evening on crutches and with your head bandaged up - I dare you!!

nickschick · 22/03/2010 09:35
meatntattypie · 22/03/2010 09:35

boiledegg...did you not hear me?
I was badly injured,(close to death probably) if any one cared they would have phoned an ambulance.
Dagnamit, i should have pretended to have passed out, not tripped with legs and arms and metal scooter flying everywhere......
dagnamit.

I so understand how you feel. Years ago I fell in flat right across the path of two men in sloane square due to stupid fashionable shoes muckying my new white skirt (the pavement was extra steep). I've never got over it and so glad I don't live in the Slaone Square area which is where it happened.

nickschick · 22/03/2010 09:36

Or a wheelchair,maybe?

meatntattypie · 22/03/2010 09:37

LOVE the little miss angry plaster idea, thats fab.
I think i may have recovered from my near death experience outside the school gates now, crutches and head in bandages is a must. Will get DH to apply said head bandages.....
