OH, I really dont like this film. It goes on forever. I was willing them to all die and the shi go down after two hours just so it would finish. (Obviously not in real life, just in the film, before I got told it is bad taste, etc.) I am sure the actual rea ship probably did go down quicker than in this film. Urgh, it really dragged on.

Men generally don't like Titanic because after all, they know what happens at the end so don't see the point.

It has lots of technical things and computer-generated stuff though so that might be the appeal for boys. My dd loves it because it has glamour and isn't bothered about anything more than the sets and costumes. She usually switches off halfway through.

My DH thinks James Cameron can't do real characters which develop and which have depth. They are always very 2D.

And it has no aliens or guns
