I'll see you there Mrs - DH has booked the same time slot for us!!

groundhogs · 12/03/2010 21:14

Ohhh, well my gran HAS to eat at 12.30, so she'd be happy with a table booked in good time. But she's 90....

There is still time, get whoever booked it to call back and make it later....

nickytwotimes · 12/03/2010 21:15

How long are you planning to lie in for?!

12 is a bit on the early side, yes, but hey, at least your getting treated.

nickytwotimes · 12/03/2010 21:15

you're, not your. ahem

bellavita · 12/03/2010 21:16

I can have a huuuuuuuuuuge lie in, our table is booked for 6.00pm [smug]

mrsruffallo · 12/03/2010 21:18

It means getting up at 10.30 to leave at 11.30
I was planning to stay in bed until at least 3.

I've bought a good book, nice breakfast to have in bed...

We were going to go out.

But DP and DD have said aw your roast dinners are so much better and you never cook them why can't you cook for us all it will be so much nicer at home rather than some random pub.

Arse wipes.

I don't mind really.

PfftTheMagicDragon · 12/03/2010 21:35

go back to bed after lunch.

honie · 12/03/2010 21:36

Eat early and you have the rest of the day free for stuff you want to do. Good film & a nice glass of red would be mine, I love a long lazy sunday PM.

I'll be cooking my mothers day lunch!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 12/03/2010 21:37

I would love to go out for a meal at noon! In nearly 5 years of being a mother, I am yet to even receive a card from the dc.

sherby · 12/03/2010 21:39

who has a birthday party at soft play on mothers day?

DDs bloody friend thats who

OrmRenewed · 12/03/2010 21:41

I assume you are joking?

Unless you book weeks in advance I suspect it's hard to get a sensible time to eat. I rang last weekend and was offered 11.45 or 5

I'll be cooking lunch as normal and preparing 'high tea' for my mum and dad and aged auntie.

Count your blessing!

mrsruffallo · 12/03/2010 21:41

Sherby- that is very wrong

I know I am being ungrateful, I have just been sooo bust lately and want to lay in bed eating chocolates

SoupDragon · 12/03/2010 21:42

"It means getting up at 10.30"

[hollow laugh]
[unsympathetic]

SoupDragon · 12/03/2010 21:43

I take your "party at soft play" and raise you rugby followed by "party at fecking skate park"

dizzydixies · 12/03/2010 21:43

sod off, some of us have to work

2shoes · 12/03/2010 21:43

i would
but then dd hates waiting to eat

indie37 · 12/03/2010 21:43

DD1's friend has mcdonalds party 5-6.30, now there's planning.

mrsruffallo · 12/03/2010 21:45

Who the hell are all these 'mothers' planning parties on our most indulgent day

What happened to the sisterhood?

OP posts:
ReneRusso · 12/03/2010 21:46

Yeah I'm with you MrsR, I would rather have the DC make me breakfast, laze about with the papers for a few hours, and eat lunch later.

PatTheHammer · 12/03/2010 21:46

My DH has booked for 12.30 on the grounds that our DC's are still quite small and if they haven't been fed by about 12.45pm them all hell breaks loose.

I,like you, did then sit down and work out exactly how long my lie-in could be

I don't think it is being ungrateful, just maximising the potential of a rare situation
