Look, I bloody regret posting this thread now. And this is the first opportunity I have had to sit down and post properly as I have shock horror been out doing normal RL stuff all day. I will not be posting again on this thread but I would just like to say a few things.
Right.
First of all, my thread was indeed bitchy and unnecessary. I am sorry to the poster who has not been named (even though the poster who has not been named won't know i'm sorry because he/she won't know who he/she is). I am also (and far more deeply) sorry to DawnTigga, who seems to have become enmeshed in this for whatever reason.
DawnTigga, you were not the person to whom I was referring and I am sorry if you thought you were for a time. Your posting style barely registers on my radar and I don't think I have ever had a convo with you. I have no idea why so many people had you in their heads as the supposed target and can only think that they were jumping on a bandwagon.
It was a silly thread to start, I am premenstrual and irritable, but I did think that by not mentioning a name that I wouldn't get jumped on. How wrong I was.
And to all those people who said YANBU to think it, YABU to post, I agree actually. Like I said, I regret posting, it was a stupid thread.
But you try not getting defensive when there are so many people flaming you. I think there were a lot of people being grossly disproportionate in their anger and far more personal and puerile in their attacks than myself. There were also a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon, not reading the thread properly and accusing me of saying things I hadn't actually said.
But that is Mumsnet for you, eh, why am I surprised?
