AAAArrrggggggggggggggggghhh!

Right, sorry, move along now, have screamed and got it off chest. Actually it is mainly one particular poster who is irritating me with saccharine tweeness.

OP posts:

Well you know what? There is one poster that really grates with me....

manytimesanhour, there, I said it....

Dare say that I'll not be the only one either.

Nasty, nasty NASTY OP.

Hmmm....agree that the "C" word was highly inappropriate....although the person using it did admit she is very annoying....

she isn't wrong.

bernadetteoflourdes · 09/03/2010 18:16

groundhog spake for all of us

bigbobblehat · 09/03/2010 18:17

thank god sausagepastie, a sane voice.

poshsinglemum · 09/03/2010 18:24

If you don't liek the style of the thread - don't read them or ignore poster and breathe!

There is a lot on here that annoys me and this thread is one of them. I'm being annoying atm too!

Portofino · 09/03/2010 18:31

This'll be in the Daily Mail next week as more evidence of what evil harridan's we all are!

scottishmummy · 09/03/2010 18:35

oh diddum poor widdle mtah.all she did was bitch about someone and then all the mean girls had a go at her

not fair

mtah should be allowed to bellyache about whom she wants with no repercussions.how very dare anyone say anything to her

innit

bernadetteoflourdes · 09/03/2010 18:43

@daftpunk you old flattererI aim to please

sausagepastie · 09/03/2010 18:45

that's not it SM

she might have said some unpleasant stuff, yes, but that doesn't mean it's right for the rest of us to pile in and start unleashing our inner bitch also.

It makes us a laughing stock. What happened to the moral highground idea?

Portofino · 09/03/2010 18:46

Daftpunk, it's abit close still on FF, but some teams will play mid week i think? Did we ever work out who Tracy Tax was?

daftpunk · 09/03/2010 18:49

Welcome to MN bernadette.......

scottishmummy · 09/03/2010 18:50

what moral high ground?MN isnt a virtuous commune of sage words and beard stroking.it is an opinion based forum.and frankly the op was mean.this set the tone.you give it you get it

and no i dont have to maintain any collective moral high ground as in my opinion im not in a collective commune with shared ethos. i have an individual opinion, i dont hold mn opinions

daftpunk · 09/03/2010 18:52

Porto;

I have messed up so much in the last few weeks...from about GW26....

Not sure who TT is..?

But yeah, it is still very close between me, you, LG's dp and TT...and Joe boy.

Confuzled · 09/03/2010 18:53

"oh diddum poor widdle mtah.all she did was bitch about someone and then all the mean girls had a go at her

not fair"

I've seen posts a hell of a lot nastier than that OP on MN before which didn't lead to a dogpile, though. Also seen a lot nastier pileons over far less as well, to be fair.

I'm mainly just stumped that it is so LONG over so little. An unidentifiable poster annoys another. So what?

daftpunk · 09/03/2010 18:54

I'll be well happy to come 5th out of 50....but as there's only about 7 of us taking it seriously...5th will be totally shameful...

sausagepastie · 09/03/2010 18:54

No, of course you are under no obligation to maintain any sort of highground SM but it makes people look faintly ridiculous when they lower themselves to the level of the OP, and below that too.

Some might be impressed but I find it cringeingly sad.

Disenchanted3 · 09/03/2010 18:56

I fucking love tigga, I love her sign off they always make me smile even when I feel like shit,

Disislovingtigga xxx

scottishmummy · 09/03/2010 18:57

i dont believe there is a mn us a collective highground. that is what makes it so diverse that one will encounter divergent, sometimes verbose, usually direct opinions

sausagepastie · 09/03/2010 19:01

It's not opinions, it's abuse.

scottishmummy · 09/03/2010 19:03

ah there is the rub that is your subjective opinion.dont think was abuse, think was pretty forthright response to a nasty op

sausagepastie · 09/03/2010 19:05

Really? I don't think I'd like to witness whatever you'd define as abuse then.
We had best agree to disagree.

scottishmummy · 09/03/2010 19:10

the attempt to transform op from puerile to victim is misplaced

bernadetteoflourdes · 09/03/2010 19:11

@daftpunk thanks for having me! Dh is a big fan too he said "I hope you and your laptop will be very happy together"

sausagepastie · 09/03/2010 19:12

That's not what I'm trying to do, SM.

I didn't say that. I know OP wasn't pleasant either. but the whole thread just was a mass of vileness, even long after she had gone.

I'm not trying to defend her, I'm just saying how revolting it was to read.

pranma · 09/03/2010 19:16

Oh I bet its me-I'm a bit twee sometimes
