do not click if you have a sensitive disposition (if it disappears you can scroll down to see the item - if you want to!)

It got nine bids. I repeat, NINE BIDS.

did you bid?.......
come on I know you wanted to

RedRedWine1980 · 03/03/2010 22:22

I just leaked a little wee

SpeedyGonzalez · 03/03/2010 22:29

2shoes - ahem. How do you think I found it in the first place?

Rofl at redredwine!

I am so glad to see I'm not alone in thinking this frilly, lacy crap is utterly vile. Isn't it virtually an abuse of one's newborn to force them to sleep in this?

jendaisy · 03/03/2010 23:05

Oi that was my listing!

Only kidding, if that thing had ever been in my ownership I would be throwing it in a river in the dead of night, not putting it on ebay.

Yuck. It was probably all the rage, like, 20 years ago!

TrinityIsFuckingTrying · 03/03/2010 23:06

lol I was preparing myself for something reall really gut wrenching and gross
like bitten toenails or snotty tissues

but you are right that really is GROSS

DuelingFanjo · 03/03/2010 23:11

ha ha ha

it says "I would say is Predominately Blue but it is stated as Multicolored"

he he he

Casmama · 04/03/2010 00:06

Pretty ugly but hey someone got a moses basket for a little over a fiver so it may well have been someone for whom appearance wasn't the most important factor.

MrsNetz · 04/03/2010 00:10

Lmao I think it's lovely!!!!! Maybe someone mil is going to redo the bogging frilly bits and it will look gorg

Heracles · 04/03/2010 00:10

Better than throwing it away. I'm sure the kid doesn't give a toss how much lace is attached.

BertieBotts · 04/03/2010 00:11

I clicked to see her completed items half expecting to see a carseat from about 1983 - I can't believe people actually sell these TBH but they do.

Sadly she only had a (nice looking, not frilly) cot and toddler bed.

bernadetteoflourdes · 04/03/2010 00:16

yeah its a bit little house on the prairie but we cant all afford Bugaboo, horses for courses I say. It certainly doesn't make me want to vomit. I thought you were going to post a pic of Gordon Brown with his dick dangling or post mortem pic of Kristian Digby FFS

thelunar66 · 04/03/2010 00:16

god... talk about blast from the past! These were all the rage when DD was born... in 1986!

daysoftheweek · 04/03/2010 00:18

Could probably take all the frills off and just use the basket though

PandaEis · 04/03/2010 01:01

my friend bought a moses basket exactly like this but with yellow instead of blue for her new baby and i amost balked when i saw it that was last august and it was from a ' modern boutique' baby shop

Fruitysunshine · 04/03/2010 01:11

Shallow, shallow, shallow.

Not everyone can afford to spend a lot of money on nursery items. Tsk.

bernadetteoflourdes · 04/03/2010 01:14

thumbs up for that Fruity.

hmm.

I was looking at and thinking, where are the alarming stains or other weirdness? Then I realised it was about taste. Oh.

JustAnotherManicMummy · 04/03/2010 02:22

I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.

DaisymooSteiner · 04/03/2010 02:34

How nasty. This thread I mean.

SpeedyGonzalez · 05/03/2010 16:58

"Not everyone can afford to spend a lot of money on nursery items. Tsk." Oh good grief. If I were being snooty about the cost, why on earth do you think I was looking for 2nd hand Moses baskets on ebay?

OP posts:
2shoes · 05/03/2010 17:05

now come on speedy haver you brought it yet, ifso can I come round and have a look?

shatteredmumsrus · 05/03/2010 17:08

The world would be a boring place if everyone liked the same things IMO!

SolidGoldBrass · 05/03/2010 17:11

DOn't see what's so bad about this. It's not like it's unwashed and covered with puke pee and poo...

(Mind you, with that pattern would you be able to tell?)

LEMisdiscombobulated · 05/03/2010 17:29

YABU i like it [hides] DD1 is 19 now and when she was wee it was fashionable to have all frills - its very countrified. I think baby stuff is way to austere these days
