MadameDefarge · 21/02/2010 14:46

I would consider fauve as a good translation of liver, it means faun...

LadyThompson · 21/02/2010 14:50

Milly, post in Style and Beauty and ask Bonsoir where to buy a liver spotted stole, or somesuch.

Personally, I rather resent being called a bully. I made quite a few faux pas when I joined and after being ritually disembowelled as the years have gone by I have settled in nicely.

RustyBear · 21/02/2010 14:53

According to the French wikipedia it's foie et blanc

Also, I don't want to seem picky but the matter of extended punctuation as exemplified by the OP: can one exclamation mark suffice, do we think - in extremis?

juneybean · 21/02/2010 15:00

PML where's my bullshit button when I need it.

differentID · 21/02/2010 15:02

I am smiling at this.

Cligan, I really really hope you are one of our members trying to lighten the mood around here.

If not, then surely a more sensible place for a first post may have been, oh , let's say CHAT rather than Am I Being Unreasonable? Didn't you read then statement at the top about how other posters will probably may disagree with you?

You remind me of my friends 19yo daughter except she has no children and a not-boyfriend at the moment.

She gets annoying very quickly. Some most of the time.

MillyR · 21/02/2010 15:06

Thanks RustyBear - I stupidly didn't realise there was a French wikipedia. I shall now use it all the time!

BecauseImWorthIt · 21/02/2010 15:20

Wow! What a weird thread!

Interestingly, the OP no longer has a profile ...

GoldenSnitch · 21/02/2010 15:30

Damnit! I missed reading the ops profile!

Did discover a recipe for Lemon Drizzle cake to make up for it though

Love the way she used "OMG" instead of "Oh My God" in the excerpt someone posted too. Nicely ironic.

juneybean · 21/02/2010 15:46

sawshank redeption.......

Headbanger · 21/02/2010 15:48

May i point out that if she is NOT a troll, and merely a young lass of indifferent education, who had a rather ramshackle early life and is determined that her DC (sic) should not have similar, this flaming has been a little unnecessarily unkind?

That being said I'm credulous to the point of idiocy, so...

AnyFucker · 21/02/2010 15:48

reality... are you a stalker ??

...and this is why I love Mumsnet...

LadyThompson · 21/02/2010 15:55

Headbanger - do you think it was unkind - seriously? I mean, she did come galumphing on here saying 'ere, wots all these hemotticons and habbreviations then, :-P' - supposing she had been real, I think her hopening gambit was a leetle beet rude.

But I feel very cheerful about the whole thing, and I learned the French for 'liver-coloured', which is going to enhance anyone's life.

juneybean · 21/02/2010 15:56

Yes but headbanger she called us iiijiots

Bigpants1 · 21/02/2010 16:07

Have to go back and read whole thread now, but just cos I am "old" and pedantic-and also want to show that little whipper-snapper that England is not necessarily going down "the pan"....accutaly.... is spelt actually.
I thank you.(secretly wishes she was 19 again,sigh).

Headbanger · 21/02/2010 16:08

It's just...I suppose in an ideal world one would reserve wholesale scathing mockery for people who weren't quite so plainly inarticulate and poorly-educated; but where's the fun in that.

Someone send her the link to Babycentre: she'll fit right in there.

psychomum5 · 21/02/2010 16:24

what a strangely bizarre thread.

am loving the copy of her profile tho (well done reality....was getting annoyed with not being able to click on her profile before I got to your post)....how smug can one person sound.

could this possibly be DM tho in another disguise???

GoldenSnitch · 21/02/2010 16:31

Well done reality
