Thank you Princess

Have an appointment for Monday morning. Not dreadfully long to wait but feels like an age away.

MadameDefarge · 19/02/2010 17:42

Oh, Gibbon, another hug comin ya way!

All moved in now. Internet back on (thank god)....boiler has been broken for a couple of days but fixed now thank god...

I love my new flat it is just fab! Though the shooting down the road the other night was a bit hairy....that's Hackney for you!

Umami · 19/02/2010 17:58

Hurrah for successful move!

I am eating only plain boiled rice and drinking only hot water with rancid yak butter in it (thank goodness for James' yak), and I am feeling most cleansed and pure on the inside. All my homicidal urges have melted away, and I have nothing but peace and love for my fellow man. However, I feel a strange longing for the icy cold of Albion, and the Hall, and proper undergarments.

PrincessFiorimonde · 19/02/2010 20:12

Umami's yak says hi

while squinting at her undergarments

PrincessFiorimonde · 19/02/2010 20:22

but Mimi, not everything about Hackney is bad ...

... 'cos here is the Chatsworth

PrincessFiorimonde · 19/02/2010 20:50

and here is Gibbon wondering how she ever wandered into all this nonsense

(not quite sure what the 'C' on her shoulder stands for - classic? courageous? - in any case, whatever it is, it is something good!)

MadameDefarge · 19/02/2010 20:51

Aha, you have found out my secret palace...curses!!!!

Ds demanding laptop for dvd viewing...grhhh...more anon...

PrincessFiorimonde · 20/02/2010 01:59

Discovered this rather thrilling topic, and wanted to share, so that you can all add your status

Jamieandhismagictorch · 20/02/2010 03:07

Oh Gawd, have noticed it is 3 in the morning. DS2 was up and now I can't get back to sleep. Waaaaahhhh !

Just checking in. Sure you're all abed. Anyhoo - all the very best Gibbon.

Princess My status is "smug and sanctimonious" (was once accused of this on MN and I think it fits rather well)

< twirls >
< gets dizzy on account of the lateness of the hour >
< swoons to make Horlicks >

Jamieandhismagictorch · 20/02/2010 03:11

Am all alooooone on MN < weeps >

Right, back to Horlicks and Julie Walters

Umami · 20/02/2010 08:45

What a delightful malted beverage you have discovered Master James! Why, it really....(yawn)....makes one feel...(yawn)...quite slee............

Hullygully · 21/02/2010 12:04

Hmmm. I see they have meditated themselves into persistent vegetative comas.

Hully! You have returned! And just in time to wish me happy birthday!

Hullygully · 21/02/2010 14:20

Happy birthday Mimi dear.

Does this mean you are of the fishy persuasion? Or are you a little cuspal?

Let us have candles upon our bhajis and beads about our necks and ankles and we shall dance in celebration of your special day. Guru Rajaswamarthyatry arthy wishes to smear your naked self in ash and kiss it tenderly (I'd decline, frankly).

MadameDefarge · 21/02/2010 14:33

Thank you my dear can't believe I am 46 22 already! just sneaked in on the fishy side of the line...so quite cuspal too...

GibbonInARibbon · 21/02/2010 14:34

Welcome home Hully, you were greatly missed and I hope you had a wonderful time.

Happy Birthday Mimi

Hullygully · 22/02/2010 07:59

Best of luck today Gibbon

Welcome home hully - nice weather we're having

HB Madame !

GibbonInARibbon · 22/02/2010 10:30

I am back and greatly relieved!

Tis a maturity thing and not uncommon, they say it's electrical. Even since last week I could see it had improved, not missing nearly as many beats. Consultant does not want me back for another check as he is confident it is this electrical thingy and as it has improved since last week already he does not need to see me again.

I can breathe again.

The relief is immense

GibbonInARibbon · 22/02/2010 10:31

Thank you all for you lovely vibes, thoughts and wishes btw

pagwatch · 22/02/2010 10:38

Gibbon
Fabulous news wrapped in sheets of fantasticness!
Sorry you had a stressy weekend but soooo pleased to see all is well.

Madame Happy thingy You are but a whippersnapper [kisses].
I was asked for baby advice in the stylee of a grandmother so am feeling my age even if grandchildren are still a ways off.

Hully my sweet. I missed you. Strange huh? Given that you may not even be real but the strange imaginations of a milkman from Billericay.
Hope you are all tanned and pert.

Yo Jamie [hugs]

( guess who got DS2 ready for school with lunch and gym kit and stood at the door until 9.00 when a call to his bus driver revealed an inset day which is not on my calendar. Cue very happy DS2 and no haircut for me or watching house doing housework....)

pagwatch · 22/02/2010 10:40
GibbonInARibbon · 22/02/2010 10:53

Thank you Lovely Pag, I am grinning like a cheshire cat here

Hope you had a fab half term

pagwatch · 22/02/2010 10:59

a house full of annoying children, no time on the computer, an endlessly empty fridge, childrens cinema screenings - whats not to love about half term...

Hullygully · 22/02/2010 11:08

Hurray! Well done baby electrical Gibbon!

Yo Jamie and Paggy. I missed you all, which did make me wonder if I was a bit odd..Gold top anyone? Fruity yoghurt? We do fresh bread now, you know.

Sadly neither tanned nor pert, indeed somewhat floppy about the midriff. But I did dance on the tables and feel I kept our end up magnificently...

Where is the widow? Flightiness of yoof.
