Im so pissed off that not that my partner (who he has knowen for 3 years) got an invite to the stag do do but more that he did not even think to consider that I would be upset in any way.
I know this may sound a bit odd to some poeple thinking that a stag do is just for men but I have always been one of the lads or so I thought.
I have been very good friends with a group of lads since school. We chat about every thing, so why did no he not think to ask me if I would want to come?
It maybe a 'lads' night out but that has never stopped me from going out with them all before nor been a problem.
Just cus its a 'STAG do' I dont even get a second thought!!!
When I had PND I didnt not go to him because he was a bloke.... male or female it never mattered before?

YABU

I'm sure your friend loves you dearly but seriously you'd be cramping their style. Don't be so hard on him, imagine the stick he'd get if he did invite you.

christ what a weird thread

anyway FWIW i went on a friend's stag do...one of my best friends from uni invited me (and my dh^) as well as another good female friend along to his do

he just wanted a good night out with his mates, which seems fair enough! I wasn't exactly expecting an invite but was quite amused to get one. It was purely booze 'n' dancing (though I had to skip the booze as I found out I was pg that day...gave the whole thing a bit of an odd vibe for me as the whole pregnancy thing was a bit of a shock but that's by the by)

mind you he did make the ladeez wear false moustaches as I recall (or he tried, anyway)

I'm only here because the thread title makes no sense whotsoever and I thought "WTF?"

But, FWIW, I invited three "cockerels" to my Hen Night. Only one (an ex) was man enough and he had a great time with all the ladies to himself.

BUT - his Stag night, his rules. Same goes for Hens and the actual wedding IMO.

"she wants to go because its her friend and she wanted to be invited; not her husband who isn't his close friend."

Well, in that case, it was very nice of them to even invite her husband. But, regardless of why she wants to be invited, she is still a female, and it is an all men event.

Wow.

Anyhooo.

OP - YANBU to feel upset that your best friend has not invited you. However, he has decided that it is to be a male only affair and perhaps in his mind he has done the next best thing by inviting your partner.

I feel you would be unreasonable to make a huge issue of it within your wider social circle.

Perhaps inviting him out for a quiet drink together, or half a day/evening, to celebrate his forthcoming nuptials, might be a nice idea.
