42 year old film director pregnant by 19 year old film star

23 year age gap and they're engaged and she's having a baby after a what appears to be a whirlwind romance. At 19, how long will he stick around with her for I wonder? That's not an age gap - that's a generation gap!

I know she's got pots of money and can easily support the child etc but it still doesn't sit right. Maybe it's wrong but there is something so distateful about older women and much younger men. It must be to do with the whole mothering/nurturing stereotype or something and it somehow seems incongruous. No one would bat an eyelid if she was the 19 year old and he was 42 though would they?.

I think it's quite intersting how people view these things.

That's okay, RockBird, and I'm sure you're right. I meant it very broadly. There are exceptions to everything.

Of course, they're free to do what they want. I'm just agreeing with the OP here.
