no, we had a lovely day here.

brimfull · 26/12/2009 10:11

I had fab xmas too.

SleepingLion · 26/12/2009 10:11

No. We had a fabulous Christmas. Our first one since 6 yr old DS was born which we spent on our own with no guests an it was the best, most relaxed Christmas I've ever had.

DS loved his presents and was so sweet and grateful for them, not at all spoilt or whiny; I had some lovely gifts from DH, lunch went really well...

So Merry Christmas, Armadillo - no bah, humbug on this thread!

5inthesleighbed · 26/12/2009 10:12

Mine was ok, DS2 kept vomitting though, so could have been better. My other two boys enjoyed themselves though.

TheArmadillo · 26/12/2009 10:15

Ah sad about the vomiting.

We had the first christmas without my family. Which is why I am so happy. No fights, no screaming, no insulting, no snide comments, no rushing around trying to please everyone. Just people being nice to each other.

Twas a revelation.

we had a nice time
relaxed and friendly

Wanderinginawinterwonderland · 26/12/2009 10:17

Glad you had a lovely time, Armadillo!

We had a great day! It's the first Christmas where DD has been really into it. She got shed loads of toys and it took her the whole day to open them, which made the day seem to last longer!

Me and DP just chilled out, eating lots and drinking lots!

I'm glad you had a lovely time Trinity, with all that is happened.

It's lovely when kids are old enough to first appreciate it all.

ds is 5yo and had a wonderful time (though drove me mad leading up to it )

TheArmadillo - this is what worries me - ours was the first Christmas without one or other member of my family - how can I ever go back to inviting anyone ever again, it was so lovely!

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 26/12/2009 10:25

So glad you had a nice time Trinity, it can't be easy for you.

We had a lovely quiet day, just the 4 of us for the first time. It was so relaxing, it was pure bliss.

i enjoyed it too

smugmumofboys · 26/12/2009 10:38

We had a lovely, low-key day.

Just my parents over for lunch and my dad was actually quite un-grinchy, for a change. The dses were up at 530 but were so in to their uge lego sets that they spent hours in their rooms building them.

Lunch was nice, folks went home after a rather over-catered Christmas tea and we watched telly, drank, ate nuts.

Dses slept till 8.30 this morning. Bliss.

Two whole days before we have to see people again so may not get out of my pjs today!

MitchyInge · 26/12/2009 10:38

we all had a really good time - bizarre, as was having major meltdowns all day Christmas Eve, didn't finish work until late into the evening and technically should have been numb with exhaustion on Christmas Day

slummymummy36 · 26/12/2009 10:39

yes! hated it. it depressed me and the arrivals of my vile inlaws is imminent as type!

mummyofexcitedprincesses · 26/12/2009 10:51

Our was absolutely perfect until we commented on the fact and DD burned her finger! (see my panic on General Health lol).

For those of you that had an awful time, I am sorry, but at least that is it until next year (when we go to the inlaws for the first time).

LynetteScavo · 26/12/2009 10:55

Yesterday was lovely. But it's not over yet.

I now have to do Christmas Day all over again with FIL and his wife.

Wish me strength - I will probably n ot want to see another sprout or in law ever again after today.

madamearcati · 26/12/2009 10:56

No we had a lovely time

brightwell · 26/12/2009 10:57

I had a nice day, me & dc in the morning then joined by 6 family & friends from 12 onwards, nice quiet evening once everyone had gone & the tidying up was done. Back to work today.
