I played the effing glockenspeil in the nativity play, bah humbug. But was centre in netball.

When I was Mary it was in the olden days wear dresses still had built in cups. I tried on the dress and half the class proceeded to poke my cups in. I wasn't amused.

I played a judge munchkin in the wizard of oz, if that helps.

I was the narrator, wing attack (sometimes centre) at netball, hated lacrosse, prefect.

We didn't have a nativity.

I was also GK - tall and scary.

I do think there is something to it because I have noticed that "Joseph" at our school gets picked for everything.

The girl who was narrator also played violin and recorder in school orchestra, grew up to take science a levels and train to be a vet.

She didn;t have a date at the school prom.

Actually I wasn't Mary in the end, was chosen but wanted to be a "weary traveller and trudge to Bethlehem with Matthew" instead

I have never met a Centre that I warmed to.

I was part of the "orchestra" (in the loosest sense of the word, as I was one of many screeching recorder players) and was Goal Shooter.

Mary was Goal Attack -much more sought after position than Centre IMO

our centre was person who always got to do registers, had boyfriend with obligitory padded valentines card, make up before everyone else and her mum did the oranges at half time
