AIBU to be annoyed when I make a really good point on a thread

and then it's ignored, and either I have to repeat it, or then someone else comes and makes exactly the same point and everyone goes "oh yes, that's quite clever" "what a good and inciteful point" and so on. Maybe I should just type in caps?
So, AIBU?

Too true Bof

I too must go and be a proper mummy.

See y'all

Jamieandhismagictorch · 03/12/2009 17:39

bibbity

I go to baby names for a bit of a cheer up myself. Sometimes I suggest to everyone they should call their baby Nigel.

santaschristmascakeywakey · 03/12/2009 17:55

Does anyone ever go, oh yes Jamie, why didn't we think of that? Or do they ignore your 'really good point'?

Must dash and stick dinner on. See you on hamster/baby name threads!

CheerfulYank · 03/12/2009 18:15

I gave my hamster a Viking funeral and his widow threw herself on the pyre.

Two for the price of one an' all that.

BitOfFun · 03/12/2009 18:18

You need to suggest that on the other thread to kreacher- I think she's angling to get rid of the other one.

Hullygully · 03/12/2009 18:52

This is like therapy, I am getting all deep and meaningful now.

Now I lament the passing of a Viking burial opportunity.

tethersend · 03/12/2009 19:11

It can be arranged, Hully

lovechoc · 03/12/2009 19:14

YANBU, I have also found this out too. You have to be in the 'popular' gang on here or your view is not counted.

Hullygully · 03/12/2009 19:15

Oh yes Jamie I see

tethersend · 04/12/2009 14:45

Gah.

Just stuck an ill-advised jokey comment on the organ doner (sic) thread. Naturally, x-posted with someone whose father is on dialysis.

Why do I do this every time????

Ah well, bracing myself for the fall out. Come and laugh and point.

tethersend · 04/12/2009 14:48

Thank the sweet lord, it's become a serious sandwich and I have been completely ignored.

As you were.

bran · 04/12/2009 15:15

tethersend, my dad is on dialysis and I'm a bit bored at the moment. Should I go over there and stir it up a bit?

I have just remember an occasion which is the opposite of the point of this thread. Someone once posted "I agree with bran" before I had even posted. I think that is my proudest MN moment.

Hullygully · 04/12/2009 15:18

I am good at the hugely inapproriate and unfunny response to an innocent question, like the lady who was worried about her toddler son sticking his finger in his bum and I asked if they had any small toys or pets missing.

pagwatch · 04/12/2009 15:20

weirdo

santaschristmascakeywakey · 04/12/2009 15:21

I thought your comment was v funny Tethersend and I've emailed the link to DH Although it was a little bit Pedant's Corner .

Hullygully · 04/12/2009 15:22

Good one, Tether

Now I lament the passing of a Viking burial opportunity

bran · 04/12/2009 15:24

I've found it, and it was a funny link so I didn't bother commenting on the thread. I might send the link to my dad though.

GibbonInARibbon · 04/12/2009 16:20

tether - classic on that thread, you truly are the x-post queen

Jamieandhismagictorch · 04/12/2009 16:33

My hamster is on dialysis following his unfortunate accident.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 04/12/2009 16:34

I agree with bran

Hullygully · 04/12/2009 16:37

weirdo

pagwatch · 04/12/2009 16:56

I have just laughed and spat a little bit of something unidentifiable out of my nose.

I shall call it Hully.

Tether. That is an awful and fantastic posting. Both

Hullygully · 04/12/2009 16:58

Spat out of your nose? You could earn good money doing that, Paggy.

Sometimes I suggest to everyone they should call their baby Nigel.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 04/12/2009 17:12

pag It wasn't a hamster that came out was it ?

< Wonders how long she can flog the dead hamster gag ?>

Jamieandhismagictorch · 04/12/2009 17:14

This is like therapy. I'm getting all deep and meaningful now.
