He's just had twins, Brook and Drew. One was going to be a boy (apparently) and one a girl, but now I'm embarrassed because I can't tell from the names which is which.

Had decided Brook was the girl but then saw drew in pink....

cookielove · 21/11/2009 21:45

5inthebed · 21/11/2009 21:45

I'd saw Brook is a girl and Drew is the boy.

Ivykaty44 · 21/11/2009 21:45

oferto change nappy and see what you find

alwayslookingforanswers · 21/11/2009 21:45

ooops - reminds me of when I went for lunch at my eccentric vicars house one Sunday. He left me there with a couple who were also coming for dinner - called Chris and Charlie.......

I had to ask which was which .

mrscrocoduck · 21/11/2009 21:46

LOL cookielove!!! That'd do it! But they're 100s of miles away.

differentID · 21/11/2009 21:46

oh dear. Maybe he was thinking of Drew Barrymore as an influence?

SausageRocket · 21/11/2009 21:46

Oooops

thisisyesterday · 21/11/2009 21:47

well just ask, or ask your mum?

SarahSon · 21/11/2009 21:48

Drew Barrymoore is female

I understand you pain but both names culd be both sexes so why not just ask, or do the nappy thing of course!

SarahSon · 21/11/2009 21:48

Lol - xpost with diff!

cookielove · 21/11/2009 21:49

hmmm hopefully next time you see them, they may have changed enough to look like a boy or girl (i hope)

MaggieBelle · 21/11/2009 21:49

Brook girl, drew boy.

I've heard worse, and they're both a bit androgenous, but I've heard worse.

good plan!

differentID · 21/11/2009 21:52

unless the middle names are Ashley and Morgan

mrscrocoduck · 21/11/2009 21:53

i don't talk to my mum and he barely does...

I just hate those names, they bring to mind real trouble-makers (that's the school teacher in me coming out...).

Why does he have to be such a chav. And no, we're not close.

OP posts:
alwayslookingforanswers · 21/11/2009 21:53

or Alex and Sam

pooexplosions · 21/11/2009 22:31

are you sure they are a boy and a girl?

If Brook is a girl she's missing an E, and if Dre is a girl then she has a brother ith a stoopid name, and parents ho named her after a bad rom-com actress.

But at least they hae a fabulous aunt if nothing else!

mrscrocoduck · 22/11/2009 06:42

you're not wrong pooexplosions...!

Am now suspecting they're non-identical girls... have asked him on a popular social networking site for clarification. Will probably never speak to me again.

OP posts:
girlsyearapart · 22/11/2009 06:50

When you said in your OP one was going to be a boy and one a girl do you mean as far as scans showed?

I think it's Brook the girl if not. Have heard Drew for both but only ever Brook(e) for a girl..

Shame you're not close always nice to cuddle a newborn that you didn't have to give birth to!

ps good morning always nice to see someone else up this early on a Sunday.

mrscrocoduck · 22/11/2009 09:16

morning!! I have no life...

well... turns out that Brook is a BOY! and Drew is a girl.

Bloody hell.

I'm so ashamed. Might as well have called them Firestarter and Asbo.

OP posts:
FaintlyMacabre · 22/11/2009 09:21

Oh dear. They are going to spend their entire lives (until they are old enough to do things as individuals) being muddled up. You'd think that having different sex twins would make life easier in that respect, not more difficult.

cookielove · 22/11/2009 11:52

well at least now you know

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2009 11:59

i would say both are boys names

but obv brook is the boy and drew the girl
