Just checked Facebook, and have seen so many of my friends using "Whoop Whoop" and "Good Times" on their status updates.
These are people in their mid-30s, one is off to an event that I know will not even slightly be worthy of one Whoop, let alone 2.

And what the flying feck is "Toot Toot"?

And yes, I am perfectly willing to concede that I am an Old Gimmer

I had to ask what this meant and whether people say it out loud in real life.

Hahaha just as I opened this post I opened facebook at the same time and seen one of my mid 30's friends had started with woop woop must be a trend.

It's bloody everywhere, honestly if some of them said it in real life my pelvic floor would just go.

The thing is the friend of mine that wrote it is the last person I could ever imagine whoop whooping.
I know what you mean about the pevic floor mine nearly did give up on me when I read this thread then opened FB at the same time.

I think that whoop whoop means like yay, yipee that kind of thing, i have no problems with that, its people who use slang on Facebook lit wot and not ending their sentances with ing.

OP - was your friend being sarcastic? It sounds more of a sarcastic remark to me. At least it would be if it was my status!

You can se Whooop Whoop, you are not yet 30, in fact, I think it is mandatory for your age group (don't even get me started on my 2 teen brother's FB posts, Piglet, I need a translator!).

Its very hard to put over in writing how chuffed you are for someone (like a friend who has just announced herself just 1 lb off from having lost 7 stone) when you dnt have the benefit of italics, underlines, bold etc etc
